Title: Publicity Campaign
Description: Files etc inside to print off...
hibs1875 - March 27, 2007 07:22 PM (GMT)
Just a wee idea I got from BoycotMustards 'Flyers' thread. D.I.Y flyers/leaflets and stickers. Simple and cheap. B)
Heres the files and preview of each file:
Leaflets/StickersSize One
Word Document: Download HereSize Two
Word Document: Download HereSize Three
Word Document: Download HereSize Four
Word Document: Download HereSize Five
Word Document: Download HereInstructions: Very easy to do. Simply decide what 'design' you'd like to print off, i.e 1 large flyer, 2 medium sized or 4 smaller ones. Then all you do is download the Word Document link to your desktop, print some off and cut them up and place around your boozer or stand etc etc.
If you want to do some DIY stickers it's the exact same as above but load your printer with stuff like
this. (Sticky back paper basically). Again print as many as you want off then just cut them up.
I've printed a stack of leaflets of which i'll take into our stadium with me and leave them in and aroudn the toilets and concourses etc. I'll try and buy some of this sticky back paper stuff stick some around the ground aswell. (If thats okay........?) ;)

Good one hibs for taking the time etc to set it all up probably, i tried to explain it on my post but you have done it much much better.
Using your template of 4 To a Sheet, And using the £3.49 Packet from PC World you would get 120 Stickers!!
I have made a 9 To A Sheet template if you want even smaller ones, you would get 270 stickers for the very low sum of £3.49 plus a few P for ink.

Get them around your football ground. ITS TIME TO MAKE A STAND!!

Awesome effort there Hibs.
Now everyone get as many of these printed off as possible and swamp your ground with them. Top stuff.

Nice one indeed - thanks very much!

this seems to be the best thread to get the image from - i'm currently printing off a bunch of "size 2" for tomorrow. if everyone on here gets a few people to visit the site we'll get more than 150 sigs easily!
marvin - March 30, 2007 01:16 PM (GMT)
been looking at companies that print stickers - 1000 A6 size seem to generally be about £150! - even if people split it and had 100 each that's still £15 a piece - is there no way for phill / amanda to get a huge run of them done cheaper which we could then get from you? (for a fee obviously)
mancred - March 30, 2007 01:23 PM (GMT)
I got 30 sheets of A4 sticky back plastic for £4 I i print 4 on every sheet then its 120 stickers

thanks - presumably this is fine for using with an ordinary printer? if so, is the front surface glossy or just like ordinary paper? (just thinking of its survivability stuck to a lampost in the rain)

mancred - March 30, 2007 07:20 PM (GMT)

marvin - April 1, 2007 11:18 AM (GMT)
took about 85 flyers with me yesterday and put them around the concourse at OT and also on the tables in the D&P. don't know if it did any good but hopefully someone will at least have a look at the petition.
great atmosphere yesterday - we should try going 1-0 down more often. it's games like that where you have to come out for the 2nd half and turn on the style if you want to be champions and that's exactly what we did. unlike those jammy, jammy, jammy cockerney bastards.
a tip for standing as well - i've noticed that my own personal nazi steward who identifies me as a problem is actually less inclined to tell me to sit down if i voluntarily sit down quite often. by sitting down before actually being told i actually get away with a lot more standing. i noticed yesterday and was experimenting with how far i could push it. was getting away with murder compared to his normal immediate facism.

Good stuff, did you display all 85 flyers? That amount is bound to get people talking about the campaign and like you say possibly sign the petition at the very least.
marvin - April 1, 2007 11:23 AM (GMT)
i put them in little groups of 4/5 on pub tables and all around the section of the concourse in my block - i'd have handed them out individually to people but i did still have to see to the important business of a half time pint ;)
mancred - April 1, 2007 09:18 PM (GMT)
I'm going to print off loads for the semi final
hibs any success?
hibs1875 - April 1, 2007 09:23 PM (GMT)
Printed a stack off and left some in the concourse area and pub before hand. Couldn't hand them out as i had a few shandies to many :D
It was also a big Derby game today aswell as us celebrating winning the League cup last week so alot was goin' on and other things on people's winds. We're practially allowed to stand at home anyway, it's away games thats the problems especially at Rangers and Celtic so i'll be targetting these games/grounds ;)
mancred - April 1, 2007 09:26 PM (GMT)
Everyone needs to advertise these on other forums and get more people aware, there are alot of people who like standing but don't know about this site.
hibs1875 - April 1, 2007 09:45 PM (GMT)
Just noticed this
http://libcom.org/organise/flyposting-guideThe lawIn most areas there are local by-laws against flyposting. Breaking these by-laws is a criminal offence, which means that if the police catch you, you can be arrested and charged and possibly end up in front of magistrate getting a small fine.
The Anti-Social Behaviour Act 2003 increases maximum fines from £1000 to £2500, with authorised council officials now able to issue £50 'on the spot' fines.
Note that it's only the person caught flyposting that can get prosecuted, not the company or club advertised on the poster.Make sure you've got some idea of your rights if you are arrested, just in case - this will make you feel a lot more confident dealing with the police.
Be careful but get stickering away B)

Will there be any matches this season where the red cards will be distributed around stadia to show support for standing?
Amanda - August 7, 2007 06:45 PM (GMT)
Irniron, welcome to the forum.
Yes, hopefully we'll do something again at the Boleyn this season but no guarantees... perhaps we can get some Hammers over to Barnet for the day that Hiveoccupier is talking about.

I have printed some off and will copy as many as I can be bothered after work. I'll hand them out at WHL tomorrow. Keep up the good work

you're not wrong, week in week out between 3000 & 6000 stand all game. big games 3/4 of the ground on their feet throughout. This season the club have turned up the heat on 'persistent standing' with a much longer video than last season thats played on the big screens before the game.
I handed the flyers out in The Bricklayers before the game, quite surprised how many people took an interest, some didn't, giving it the old 'I stand anyway hahaha' but generally was well received.
I still had about 70 flyers with me when I went into the ground and found the best way to distribute them was to throw them all off the edge of the top tier of the Park Lane :ph43r:
Amanda - August 20, 2007 07:08 PM (GMT)
Thanks for doing that Jonny, appreciate it, even if those who have to clean up the stadium afterwards probably didn't!

go on then - i'll have that.
Manny Dominguez - September 13, 2007 05:22 PM (GMT)
I'v also done a petition so that we can add more people to our growing list who have signed.
But it looks a bit fuzzy
Is there a better way of uploading pdf documents without having to convert them to jpgs and losing quality in the process?
Manny Dominguez - September 13, 2007 05:35 PM (GMT)
I've created a petition for those who would like to go forth and spread the SUSD word and add more names to our growing list who have signed
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=PN7MTTGYTo download the petition just enter the letters in the box on the right hand side and click download
Cheers
