Title: Dortmund Vs Schalke
Description: Tickets on sale on Wednesday
Danny G - March 25, 2007 04:09 PM (GMT)
If any of you fancies seeing one of the top German derbies, tickets are on sale from Wednesday. I've no idea if there'll be any standing tickets available, but if you try early in the day, there's always a possibility.
Whoops, just realised it's only club members; but general sale can't be far behind, and I'll be looking out on eBay.

http://www.bvb.de/?%84%9FX%1B%E7%F4%9DI'm going to try and get tickets for myself & a few mates. Follow the link above; tickets to club members start Wednesday, general sale is on 2nd April. I'll be camped out in front of my computer at a minute past midnight that day, though I suspect all the tickets, at least standing ones, will be gone by then.
From the other thread, Simme recommends the following as two other ticket sites, I guess general sale will also start on 2nd April but I'm checking each day just in case.
http://kartenvorverkauf-krause.de http://www.kartenvorverkauf-rupprecht.de Failing Dortmund, we'll probably end up at Bochum v Stuttgart. I've seen photos of the Ostkurve which looks pretty cool, about 11-12k standing behind the goal.

tickets will be on sale for everyone on 02nd of April but it will be nearly impossible to get tickets...
and tickets on ebay will be very expensive due to several reason I mentioned in another thread:
-> THE derby
-> increased rivalry because Schalke supporters stole a 60-metre-long banner out of our ground
-> last home game of the season
-> critical situation for Dortmund (fighting hard against relegation)
-> Schalke on the way to winning to trophy for the first time since 1948
all these factors lead to sky-rocketing on ebay and the black market in general.
Anyway: Good luck ;)
/edit: oh unibee was faster :)
the sale of tickets usually starts at 8.30 and internet sale isn't a good choice at dortmund. There is this very expensive ticket-hotline but it is also very random and "works" via some kind of voice-computer -> forget about it.
I'd suggest calling the two ticket agencies unibee mentioned above...

Rather unsurprisingly of the three Dortmund sites above, one was jammed and then shortly after sold out, another was telephone bookings only and the other had no sign of tickets.
So it's off to Bochum v Stuttgart, not quite as good but the Ostkurve still looks a superb terrace. Naturally for top flight football in Germany, tickets were under £8 each.

yeah, pre-selling was strange as always, ticket hotline announcing "sold-out" and one minute later tickets were on sale again...
I expect 20,000 up to 30,000 Schalke fans to come to our ground, horrible! After this weekend we're the last but one ... relegation fear everywhere, and Schalke still on top of the league.
Could be an explosive atmosphere on 12th of May if we get relegated and have to play in the 2nd Bundesliga for the first time since 1976 . . .
Enjoy your stay at Bochum, the whole region will be in tension.

The German league looks brilliant, not only atmosphere-wise but the drama of the actual football looks immence!
