Title: Bravo 6

Guys,

Am sure that most of you have seen the Bravo 6's SASR in vietnam. Have anyone bought them yet? Seems like they are ultra expensive, and seems that from the review, they are quite "rough".

Any tots? I believe to own the 5 SASR figures would be around RM300 plus.... :o

I tried the entire first batch and I think there were a couple released later. Just average run of the mill stuff so I'd say a tad pricey. One retailer sells them at $20 a pop while you could get them from an eBay seller ( forgot who ) for about $16 or less excluding shipping. Combined shipping would be cheaper if you get all from this guy.

Cheers
Patrick

Hi Pat,

What did u think of the quality? Do it actually live up to the huge price tags? Basically, do you feel it was worth money spend? :)

Thanks!

achee,
It's the better resin 'Nam figures in the market. Comes with shoulder patch decals ( 1st Air Cav is nice ), chervons and name tags for the 'Platoon' movie characters. In case you're wondering, yes they are modeled after actors and you can more or less recognise the fairly realistic features.

Back to 'better', if you compare them to Legend's offering in this genre Brovo 6 wins hands down. Perhaps there could be better from other lines but I've not tried.
Anyway, as I've said they're a tad pricey. That should be a good indication that I mean it's not worth $20 ( excl shipp ) as one retailer sells them for. It'll be resonable if you could get them on auction at around $14 to $16 with $5 shipping for a single set. That's their worth IMO. eBay sellers use shipping to offset listing and final value fees ( I understand and don't mind ) so in fact shipping you one can be done around $3 ( small packet, air, USPS 1st Class Int excl insurance/mailing confirmation/tracking ). My estimate for Royal Mail would be GBP1.99 if you buy from a UK seller. Search eBay ( key word 'Bravo6' ) for the best prices and shipping.

I don't trust what's written in forums and reviews until I try the item myself. Not that I intend to put down SAC33's input ( thanks BTW ) but always remember there could be partisan ( makan sebelah ) crowd's support for certain individuals while some are ignored. Happens everywhere. Sad, but that's just how people are.
