enghui - October 27, 2009 02:38 AM (GMT)
Tuan-tuan dan Puan-puan sempena pengistiharan 1/32 Tamiya Spitfire MkIX saya
memberi anda 1/48 ICM Spitfire MkIX Double Ace Sqn Ldr J.Plagis 15+2 victories
126th Sqn England June 1944.
Ok , thats as far as my C5 SPM BM can bring me.More pictures to come this is all for now as work is calling again.I just couldnt resist posting a shot as finished product from this kit is more than I hoped for.I pushed weathering and detailing and painting a little further than I normally do and was rewarded.
Flat coat to come , lights to be added, panel line wash needs to be done also as well as some mud on the wheels and a figure as well as the cockpit door and a few other things too.
thanks for viewing :)

very the 'cantik' Spitfuer tuan kapten...
der Spitfuer ist kommenden along very nicely !
u should consider building a post war Spit in all metalic finishing... B)
err how you do the cockpit details ahhh? any tips ?
enghui - October 27, 2009 04:15 AM (GMT)
Tuan Herr kay , the instruments are decals, using a punch and die set to knock them out in neat circles.Decals from a Nakajima B5N1 Kate...dont tell anyone ar...
Thanks!
ya the kit dont have any decals for instruments and the detail not high enough for easy painting.A blob of white glue makes em shiny.
The airfix 1/72 PRXIX with malaya markings is a nice option also the Seafire in 1/48 also in HMS Triumph in Malaya comunists ops is nice also.
Loo CK - October 27, 2009 04:50 AM (GMT)
Did you know that Spitfire and Kate are cousins?
PoohBear - October 27, 2009 04:53 AM (GMT)
A drop of future can make for nice shiny dials too.
One could also consider drilling out the dials, thinning the panel a little and placing the decal behind a thin clear acetate sheet. A little bit more work and effort but should give more depth to the office.

Thanks Vince but this bird is 1/48 scale , no 1/24 Spitfire MkIX mainstream kit in production.
here are 2 of the figs that came with the kit 1/48 scale also.
twong - November 1, 2009 03:37 PM (GMT)
I agree with Bomber Vince, awesome work. Great looking Spitfire. I love the invasion stripes. Those figures look pretty cool too.
landyshah - November 1, 2009 03:48 PM (GMT)

bos, i didnt notice that this kit comes with figures..i bought two last year and i havent check on it yet. is yours the one with engines and wing mg?, i mean i know the engine details are 1st class and i was wondering why you didnt show any of it unless your is the one without engines.
btw bos good build, and to wet your lips...the 1/32 swordfish sudah masok  ..you would love this one bos
enghui - November 2, 2009 04:55 AM (GMT)
Thanks Ol' Aneh! The MkV very handsome plane, by the way the D Day scheme inspired from visits to the Last Bastion.
For Queen And Country!
Thanks Bos Ari, I didnt display the engine bcos I malas to do the wiring etc.Maybe on my next build as I have 3 more ICM spits. The prop was slightly modifided also.
The figures only come with the MkIX in a special boxing Spitire MkIX with RAF pilots and ground personnel. kit no 48801.The figures are also included in Tamiya MkIV recent release. They even give you a dog.
1/32 swordfish? heh heh I pass la bos.
ahhow - November 2, 2009 05:22 AM (GMT)
Wah! Ahhui u so fast finished another build.
SUPER NICE as usual, already downloaded all pics for reference, hehehe. :P
ari - November 2, 2009 10:09 AM (GMT)
waaa rugi la like that...i believe you would do a nice job on the engine, infact i believe anyone would as the engines are bery good. so you are the guy who sapu all icm spits from peter..hahaha, lucky i got 2  . anyway alot of guys didnt take note that this is a very good and highly detailed kit, well maybe coz its not tamiya or hase. believe me guys ...just grab one if you see them....and its cheap too.
you sure you wanna pass the sword bos?...actually i ordered 1 sword and 1 Bac lighting, but once i open the swordfish box....waaah...my mouth just open wide, its huge and the details are truly superb, honestly i have never seen such a beauty...i ended up buying two of them...and cancel the Bac...well the Bac is good but i kenot afford to buy 3 boxes all at once la...the wife will kill me ,to curi curi masuk rumah with a 1/32scale box is still acceptable, 2 boxes is a bit risky, but 3 boxes is plain asking for trouble
enghui - November 2, 2009 12:38 PM (GMT)
Yah very rugi waste that engine, the air ministry wont be happy.
I still havent bought a 1/32 scale kit ,the Tamiya Spit MkIX might be my first.
You need a 1/32 Japanese Milch Cow to smuggle those kits.
figure has been painted! Thanks to Capt Kirk I know how to make oil paints flat.Spray a flat coat on it....I would have never done it if I didnt think it possible if he didnt tell me.
the best part of this figure is he seems to be very happy.ICM have done a good job molding it.Not showing his legs because of the blue tack.
