Thanks bro! Yeah, still improving on my skills for each build. Prolly going to build a car next. i'm still figuring out how to upload pictures here instead of pointing it to a link hehe.

agree with mr blackheart that u are not a newbie at all. nice works. besides bit silvering on the decals on the matt surface, I can't fine any flaws.

try gloss coat the surface before decaling then apply flat coat to prevent silvering. ^_^

Welcome to SMM forum sevendust ... glad to see another bike builder around ;)

Nice Year 2000 MotoGP Bike u have there... and i do agree with the guys who commented that looking at ur build is u definitely not a newbie.. if u r then u r a born bike model builder cos my 1st build not even 20% of urs.....

Some advise if i may.... :P

The gloss coat on all the bikes looks good but to perfect it more, u should sand them down a little with high grid sandpaper (2000 and above) so that u able to see a smooth reflection rather then 'wave' reflection.

For Rossi's 2004 Yamaha M1 ... notice there's a joint line on the fuel tank...putty and sand it off cos there's not seen on the real bike
;)

The colors of the bikes looks matching... mind i ask...spray cans or AB?

Notice u did put quite some time on the paintings especially on the chains and some CF effect... Good effort sevendust

Looking at ur collection, i'm guessing that the Konica Minolta bike is ur latest build of the 5... correct me if i'm wrong... ^_^

Hope to see more of builds later... Till then... Happy Modelling ya~!

Yes this is good stuff.I never had the itch to build bikes until I saw what you have done. The matt effect on the tires is really realistic, is this how it looks like out of the box or isit a flat coat?

WELCOME TO THE FORUM...!!!

if you said that is newbie... i don't know where should i position myself... those are really good build...!!

sevendust - October 9, 2009 12:26 AM (GMT)
thanks to much for the compliments and the warm welcome guys =D! those bikes are my first 5 models i've ever done. So i'm still rather new to the modeling world

sky_tokyodrifter@ sure! would love to share my methods =)

PcEvo@ yep, you're spot on. I didn't use putty for any of my bikes except for the konica minolta bike, when i recently discovered Mr.Hobby's dissolved putty =). I used only spraycans and hand brushes =). and yes, the konica minolta bike is my latest

enghui@ it came in matt finish out of the box,i made the tires more realistic by sanding them even further with a 600 and 800 grit sandpaper.

koowilliams@ thanks bro. hehe well, i'm still a newbie as i've only built 5 bikes to date :). everyday is a learning day :)

Fuyoo, Newbie?? For real?? When I was newbie there was more glue than plastic on my models...and painted with Artline

Great stuff man, you have a natural gift and touch.....I wish I had that :D

Ha... cos i notice there's a different on your build between the 5 bikes... hence there's some improvement and method of building also different.
