Title: Need Help - Badger Airbrush Damaged
ryoga - October 6, 2009 04:22 PM (GMT)
I had 2 units (0.2mm and 0.3mm) and recently found out my 0.2mm's valve is hard and brittle, while my 0.3mm has a broken spring  I think someone used it without my permission when I was at the US cause I always clean my airbrush immediately after using them.
I found the 0.3mm set still attached to the air-pen and had dried orange paint in the bottle . Know how to use, don't know how to clean <_<
Well, its been a while since I last touched my airbrush. So imagine my shock when I did a stock check on all my old tools, and was cleaning all of them when I discovered my airbrush in this condition. Guess I won't be seeing any airbrush action for a while.
Hence I need to either get replacement parts or get myself a new set altogether.
I prefer a set that has the bottle positioned at the bottom of then pen. Anyone knows of anyplace that sells the Badger brand? Or is there another brand I can consider?

I understand only in Singapore. PM argrillion. He might be able to point you out where to get this done as he uses a badger too.

Ryoga, perhaps you can invest in an entry level maid-in-china AB .. (sorry if typo error :P :P :P ) ... if cleaned properly, the AB functions just like any other ABs too ... I do recall tkting had some bottle feed ABs from the motool range ... see his link on the to sell page...
AB = Airbrush (don't get confused with other thingy ok!)

Thanks SAC33, but sayang lah my faithful set of airbrushes that had served me so well  . If can fix, even better (BTW .. hehe, took me a while when browsing here but figured out AB=Airbrush  )
In the event I need to change, I am currently looking at this set sold at xltoys (right now still window shopping)
My Hobby AS189 compressor retailing at RM650. May even consider trying out the airpen with the cup on top (My Hobby Pro Silver crown type air cap 0.25mm)
Will go check out tkting's link now. Thanks

If you dont mind paying a little bit more and you are in KL, you can try Art-Friends in Garden, Mid Valley. They sell handpiece and accesorries for badger too but I doubt they provide repair service. My first 0.2 hand piece is Badger too, gravity feed type, so far yet any problem. :D
Contact tkting in this forum or visit his website at www.mgs2u.com for the compressor you looking, dont really recommend you get it at xlshop.
Good luck for the hunt.

Ok, called up Arts Friends again and they told me they don't have stock for the mini compressors (but they have the whole range for airbrush). They do carry stock for the older compressors (model 3000, 3001 and 3002) which they claim is VERY heavy and noisy (not too noisy). Cheapest going for abt RM1,500  not inclusive of regulator and moister trap. If I decide to go back with badger, its going to set me back a bit.
Then called Pemlow abt the Sparmax set he's selling .. whoa, complete set (regulator, moister trap, tank, hose and airbrush) for a very nice price B) A friend of mine who works on resin kits uses the same model and she swears by it (she recommends it highly, not the other kind of swearing)
So I've made up my mind. I'm going to switch to sparmax and give this a try.

Forgot to mentioned,
If you are using badger hand piece on normal compressor, you will need to get another connector for your hand pieces to the hose.
I'm currently using the Mr. Joint Set from Gunze.
