Video of HLJ President, Scott T Hards' visit to a japanese resin model kit factory. Gives you a behind the scenes look at how resin kits are manufactured.

molding, resins, balistic gels, etc are actually easily available in overseas. Difficult to get in Malaysia. Now nice if I can mold my own stuffs..... especially dioramas. Looking for silly putty oso difficult.

I bet most of us are dreaming of doing something like this. When Scott asked Hiro how he chooses the models to produce, his reply....

Scott : But you probably do some customer requests, right?
Hiro : Nope. Just things I like.

Interesting how the 3D printer and CAD software makes prototyping so much easier. I shudder to think how it was done back in the 80s.

dremel, bila nak buat bengkel macam ni?

Thanks for the links Alpha7. Very useful and highly motivating as well. :D

Flylice80: There are some materials that can be obtained here but locating the manufacturer and ordering it is a tricky one...

LooCK: Towards the end of the second part, he hints that he might be looking into producing WWII aircrafts. If that materializes, you will be in trouble Loo...

He did hints that he wants to try producing plastic model kits and from the looks of the company's model kits, I hope they try it soon. But hope the price is much, much, much lower than their multimedia kits...
