Howdi!
Being talking about King Tiger for quite sometime, here the picture of my progress.
I used Tamiya's cement to coat thinly over the entire tank's vertical surfaces, while doing so, I ap it constantly with the Tamiya cement's brush. This is to make the hull look metal-like. As a side effect, it looks glossy.

I attached some of the PE parts, but haven't started on the side skirts yet.

I decided not to use the PE set's Track holder for the turret. The PE looks too thin for the application.

The track that come with the Tamiya kit is crippled at the end part, I tried attaching but it looks horrible. So I opt to get separate track link from Hobbyboss. Initially I thought it was workable. Perhaps I should invest in Fruilmodel's. Nevertheless, I still work with the Hobbyboss, and attach the tracks into 4 sections per side.

The Masking Tape is there to fix the track while I store them. They'll be removed once I'm going to paint it. Next is a close up photo comparing the kit's vinyl tracks and hobbyboos track. Note that the Hobbyboss is late type and the kit's is early type. You can see the vinyl track got huge molding sink marks that are difficult to remove.

Next is to show how it'll look like when the 4 sections attached to the tank. I did the track link's cleaning, glueing, test fitting all while watching TV (I did some PE parts infront of the TV also)

That's the progress to date.
I'm simulanously working on this tank (which comsumes alot of time working on PE parts), the Budapest Ruin House (alot of grinding and sanding), as well as 1/32 F-15 (which involves alot of painting right now). So... progress is rather slow.
I'm still working on some PE parts for this Tiger. The next step is to prime and weather the lower hull, attach the road wheels, paint and weather the tracks, glue the tracks to the tank and mask the entire lower hull. So.... tonight I'll start grinding some Pastel Chalks. While waiting for the Primer to dry, I can continue on the PE parts.
Any comments?
