Wow, good work for your first model. My first model look like crap (although that time I was very happy with it... when I was 8 years old.... unpainted plane build with UHU glue :D :D  )

Some improvement can be done, some scratches are at unreasonable area, and some area that should have scratches look clean. Also, the silver paint you use for scratches make it look too shiny.

Check out the topic about salt masking... it works well to create scratchs (we call paint chips), and layered-paint-applied-by-crews effect.

Twong's F-14s

Oh yeah, you painted the gundam without the airbrush also?

wah.. this is very good for first model... my first model is nowhere near you.. :D

:o That is your first model????

Quickly go hide my face now :P It looks good.

the gundam must be painted... or at least TOP COAT it... or else the scratches that you put on will just appear in pieces... and not stroke...

Try to paint the model 1st lah...

Very nice for first model. If this is your first model I am looking forward to your upcoming ones. I like the weathering and battle damage.

Good Job , my friend!!! Thanks for sharing, Gundam 0 !!

A good effort on your 1st go Photoframe. It looks especially good against the ruined city backdrop. I think Flylice80 has provided a good place to start on the chipping. Another good area to check out is the Armor forum here. I know nothing about Mechas but I believe both Mechas and AFV, tanks share a lot in common in terms of weathering.

You must have spent alot of time doing that, especially on the leg portion.

Some of them look like created from drybrushing.

i would say this is a very well done kit u have there.

About the weathering, dont worry about overdoing (since this is your first model kit). Of all the weathering n paint chip u have done on this kit, there must be some u r satisfy with it right? Keep in mind how did u achieve that and apply the same thing on your next project.

Also do checkout the AFV thread where there r many examples of effects u can learn from: paint chip, dust, mud, burn ashes etc etc.

Hope to see your HG kit soon!
