Nope, with a base, ruined building, you are given extra parts like, doors, windows, lamp post, water pipe, etc.

Low, is the cross road dio base still available? Waiting this set till neck also long liao... :D

Still available, Kirin sir.

aiya... no grass ar.....

I'm now working on a Budapest 1945 building from Miniart. I must say... it's really difficult to get the parts out from the grey plastics. They are vacuum formed and the plastic is about 1mm thick. Have to use motortool to saw and grind the unwanted plastic parts, then sand it and putty fill it extensively.

Probably need your advise and open another thread for this.

Mr. Low, any price range indication on the miniart buildings?

I think I got the same 'Budapest 1945' Dio set, is that the one come with a set of figures and a tank? :D Got mine last month with a reasonable price from HHQ.

As for these MiniArt Diorama set, I will suggest you to get yourself a 'P-cutter' which will make you really easy when cutting off the extra plastic.

Just simply run the P cutter a few times between the plastic, score a line and bend both part, Done! For sanding and grind, I prefere a Tamiya router, equip a steel sanding disc, make my work really easy.

Dont throw away the extra grey plastic as you will found it handy when you attached both wall together, cut it accordingly and use it as reinforcement part inside the wall.

yeah, I keep the extra plastics. I haven't glue the together, but test fitting shows tht I need extra reinforcement to get them standing.

the worse part about it is, say you lay the parts on you table. If you cut the plastic vertically, the walls will have additional 1mm you need to sand off.... Imagive the amount of areas need to sand... windows, doors, etc. If don't sand off the extra 1mm thickness, the parts won't fit together. I tried to go grinding horizontally, but it turns out to be risky and might damage the part.

Yeah, I got the one with the SU-76M and some figures. Do you mind create a new topic and show us how to do it nicely? I'm using my motortool... and I must say it's a very time consuming task. I took over 4 hours working on mine, and I just got 1/2 of the parts off cleaned. I'll post a few photo on how I do the thing and we can share.

Nope, I dont mind do it and will do it, but not this month cause rushing some Gundams for BAKUC (Bandai Action Kit Universal Cup).

There is another tips for u, get a marker to mark a line on the main part before you cut away the extra plastic.

Now you can see the marked line and 1mm excess plastic which you need to sand away, use your motortool with a medium speed, equip with a sanding disc, bounce the disc parallel on the plastic and grind away the extra part.

After the above process done, dry fit both side of the wall, most of the time, you will found that both part still cant fit properly cause these part are vacum-form, what you will need now is a hair dryer. Slightly heat the side of the part and make the adjustment on the fit.

Well, may be I should start this step by step with some picture attached for more easy understanding...

Exactly what I'm gonna do next.... after hours doing on just few parts.

Anyway, other than the difficult-to-remove parts, the quality, molding and details are superb
