dear modelers , after a long hiatus and seeing this kit unbuilt and gathering dust , i decided to proceed to construct this kit and reduce my stash at the same time...
Chariot of War Heroes or also known as M60 Magach saw active service during the 1982 Lebanon war...this kit comes with a set of mine roller & reactive explosive armour stuck around the turret..something which i haven't built before..
wear & tear marks were done using Tauke Loo method of applying hair gel where most wear & tear occur...this kit pose a lot of problems during construction ie missing parts, wrong information printed on the instruction manual, lousy tank tracks etc. courtesy of the kit maker (whom we shall not mention)

bos kay...guess you better cut down on the wear and tear, IDF armour are usually very well kept, yes if plenty of dust and dirt during operations, but not those paint peeling off

I like it ,it looks mean.Chipping is convincingly done too, I ll have to try tauke Loo's method. As for accuracy maybe this one was captured by the Egyptians or as you say, you are excersising your artistic license. :)

Bro,
what I like: 1) the rich tones where the drab blends into the dust, etc.. Some good effect on the recesses. Hope its intentional 2) the green gun mantlet cover. Brings out a bit of colour variety to the kit. 3) chipping effect on the stowage basket.
As for the effects of chipping on the hull, I am no expert on IDF AFVs so cannot approve or disapprove the method but you need to be careful with the chipping if you want to apply them. The important trick is to make sure that the chipping sizes are random and concentrated on wear and tear areas. The other aspect is to make sure that the base color where the chipping occur is correct. You may want to put your artistic licensing on the mine roller. You can really chip that piece!
