Neat. How I wish that I could get to that paintbrush or airbrushing stage if not the weathering.
Faisal :)

Wah, love the paint chipping and the weathering...
So, you will be off to Japan is it? Maybe you can hook up with our modeler there since he is staying in Tokyo... :D

Not bad, slightly too glossy for my taste. The mud also looks a bit unnatural, especially mud at the back.
Is the camo brush-painted?
farizforce - September 14, 2009 05:40 AM (GMT)
ahhow: The camo was first airbrushed and then i drybrushed, and then drybrush again with lighter colours. I agree with the glossy issue, but how do i make it look matt? I bought gunze topcoat flat, will that work? I tried to simulate a dry mud, so i just dab it using some dark pastels mixed with thinner.
Druid: Yeah, i'll be in Japan. Any malaysian modeler in Tokyo? Can introduce me?

Those shops in Japan are probably gonna make a hole in my pocket soon when im there. Hows the price different from Malaysia on the kits?
flylice80 - September 23, 2009 03:13 AM (GMT)
Price is different shop to shop. The thing is, when you are in japan, you have more variety of models to choose comparing to the limited supplies in Malaysia.
When I was in Australia, there's this warehouse size Hobby supermarket, about the size of erm.... 8 normal malaysian shoplot and 2 storeys. ground floor is paint, accessories and plastic kits, upstairs is RC and Train model. They probably have 3rd and 4th floor to store stocks.
You'll probably find these kind of supermarket in Japan. That'll definitely burn your credit card

...once they've burned my credit card..they'll eat through my wallet..goshh.. ;)
