musangpulut,
Yes, I am planning to issue a new TUDM Hornet decal sheet.
This has been on my mind since the Acad's new F/A-18C came out, and I had a chance to look at the parts.
You are right - this is the definitive kit for building a TUDM D - practically (95%)everything you need is there.
What I have been doing is getting artwork for new strip formation lights done for the new issue (this is not a re-print).
The original ones are sized for Hasegawa, so new ones sized for the Acad kit are also needed.
What is holding up things is the busyness of my day job. I hope that the Raya break will give me time to finish up the artwork and get it out to Cartograf.

Since we're on the topic of TUDM F/A-18D's....
Back in 2002 when work started on F-4DableModels' pilot product - the TUDM McAir F/A-18D decal sheet, there was always some question as to what production 'Lot' were our aircraft from?
No one could answer this question satisfactorily, because the 'Lot XY' designation used to differentiate different F/A-18 production batches were only applicable to aircraft produced for the USN & USMC.
Export aircraft such as that built for the Swiss, Finnish & our country were build alongside the US aircraft and generally had almost the same spec as a particular 'Lot' being built for the US at the time.
To complicate matters, aircraft (built from the ground up) for export customers were not assigned USN Bureau Nos.
Anyway, to cut a long story short, according to an obscure non-English publication, our F/A-18D's were built alongside US 'Lot 19' aircraft.
Lot 19 is pretty much the last legacy F/A-18 production batch, with Super Hornets taking over from Lot 20 onwards.
I think the only feature omitted from our jets which were fitted as standard on the US jets would be the IFF 'bird slicer' anttenas.

memang menarik if paired with F4Dable's RMAF Hornet new decal! Can wait for both to arrived at LHS.
I already built Fujimi & Hasegawa Hornet D before, nothing can compare with this new, accurate & crisp moulding by Academy!

I wouldn't tolak tepi the original TUDM F/A-18D decal sheet - only 500 of each scale exists.
It also has its place in Malaysian modelling history: ^_^
I'm pretty sure it was the very first world standard aftermarket decal sheet to be created in this country. :)
This product indirectly helped to open the door for other aftermarket brands to come into the shelves of your LHS.
Twobobs decals was the US distributor for F-4DableModels, so we reciprocated by bringing in Twobobs decals to this country.
One brand leads to another, and we have come quite a long way now in 2009! ^_^
