Im not sure if this counts as a diorama, as it is just my Sd.Kfz.251/1 and the soldiers supplied placed on a home made mud base. I plan to put it in a bigger diorama at some point, but here it is:

Thanks for looking.

Lovely B&W photos.
Sometimes the less complicated dioramas tells a story better than a complicated one.

Thank you Loo. It is simple, but it gets the job done =] "Americans! Get them!" hehe

B&W photos are back in season!
Congrats on finishing with a dio. In no time at all, you'll be doing more and more complicated scenes ^_^

Its a good go at a dio Vinsanity. It has action and motion which are always good things in a dio. The chap jumping off the halftrack in the 1st. pic is well done. Not sure if it will help you but just some minor stuff you may wish to consider. Your base seems pretty muddy which would mean the wheels of your halftrack should be slightly more sunk into the mud on account of the weight. The other small thingy is to add a wee bit more mud on the tyres and the tracks if you decide to put this halftrack on this base.
On a sidenote this would by be in my opinion a diorama. It tells a story especially in the 1st. pic with the pointing soldier whose finger suggests the direction of the action and the 2 men advancing towards it. Classfications of a dios can be stretched depending on the point of view, just like in Shep Paine's book of dio-making where a modeller painted the reflection of the American flag and another astronaut on moon surface on the visor of the astronaut which was just standing on a tiny base. So you can see size in dios is not always critical.
All in all a good effort and its a base with potential.

Ok this is off-topic but just a quickie reply then.
The greatest and cheapest supplier of diorama materials here in Malaysia and in most other countries is Mother Nature. All you need is patience, keen observation skills and improvisation.
Of course you can also get them from many very good diorama material makers. Miniart does very nice buildings and this dutch company, Reality in Scale is another that does bases, house accessories, etc. Miniart is available locally here. Trees and scrub are also available in local model railroad supply shops and sometimes at dried flower shops. At the top of this section you can check out some articles on locally available materials.
