Title: Pla Plates Question
Description: Which brands do you recommend?

After years of using plastic from old Walls Ice cream tubs to scratchbuild, I've decided to go for the real thing and buy some proper plastic sheets.
Right now I'm considering either Evergreen or Tamiya, which do you think is better? Or are both just the same?
Are there any other cheaper alternatives? My budget is kind of small at the moment.

to answer your question, both evergreen and tamiya are of the same materials (at least the substances inside)....and like all other styrene sheets, they are all the same..
evergreen do carry variety of sheets, shape etc while tamiya didnt have that many choices.... in term of pricing i believe they are also the same ...
beside the shop that kuman mentioned, i believe there is also a shop in jalan silang who sell them at good price....

No mix thickness in a pack as far as I know.

yeap... multifilla does carry really affordable pla-plate...
evergreen is much expensive... but they came in different texture, and surface details... tamiya have less...
but if you want to push the saving further... get the ikea cheapo frame... the transparent sheet is made from (I THINK) acrylic... and it will work on any pla-plate and pla-plate cement... you can still use the frame by itself...
but beware... the transparent sheet is not as flexible as plaplate... it breaks easily...
THIS i made mostly out of that ikea frame plastic...

Evergreen a bit expensive but both side of the surface is matt
Tamiya standard price but matt 1 side and gloss the other side
if I'm not mistaken..any review from others?

Evergreen is much "softer" than tamiya one.
