Title: Wip05 - Tugu Negara (painting Session)

Guys, Painting session...
THE HEROES:
The most challenging in painting this project, I guess would be the different skin tone. First one is the Malay officer, second is the Indian bren gunner, then comes the Chinese batonet charger,Lastly the couple of Assie helper and the Malay wounded. All uniform were base coated with vollejo US uniform green.
THE ENEMIES:
This is one of the dead enemies. I've paited his face pale as a dead man.
The other dead enemy was painted with a darker skin tone.
The overview of all inprogress figures.
WEAPONS:
With limited time on hand as big boss came back from Taiwan with lots of assignments... all paint job were done in rush.... Pls comment if spotted any disorder.
Enjoy and shoot freely.

Wahhh!!!! The painting looks good and the facial impression is excellent!.
One comment though... maybe it's my eye or maybe it's the lighting (or maybe even the glare from the monitor) the skin tone looks almost the same on all the soldier (except the dead ones) but then again. during war time under the hot and humid climate of our country, that is possible...

good progress. My only comment is that the eyes are a little too long and too high a white contrast. I am sure you will be touching it up!

the only answer for kids about our tugu negara....
Kids "ma, i saw the old movie on tv and the human are all black and white... and this statue is as well so black... so... the people back then was BLACK AND WHITE...??? until they now have make up to paint human?.. or else there'll be no reason to make this statue so black.... right maa..??

Yes, The eyes have some mistake... thanks for pointing out. Below are some of the touch up...

The bayonet are down scale of actual size. Maybe it look abit large fixed on Jungle carbine cause the carbine is much shorter compare to normal rifle. The bayonet are made of zinc sheet and plastic cards.
