Title: Rubber Wheels Turned Bad ...

SAC33 - August 7, 2009 04:57 AM (GMT)
Actually its rubber wheels turned soggy/hardened..

Was at HHQ last evening and wanted to "grab" some very nice cars but saw the wheels sudah "melt" and some hardened ...

Is there any idea how to overcome these problems...I know there are tyre replacements for 24th Jap cars but what about those 50s american cars???...Any ideas on how to solve this problem is greatly appreciated!!!

Thanks in advance.

50s American car looks good with modern wheel like the '57 Chevy for example.

Of course, this will give your car a hot-rod look rather than normal car. Try Google 'Chip Foose' and look for his car modification work.

Most American cars sports 5-lug setup. Japanese have 4 and 5-lug setup. So you may need to pay attention to these when you choose your wheel.

CHIP FOOSE is my hero  true american modern hot rodder. Try looking at his car called the "grandmaster"

At car wash you will see silicon oil being wiped on all tyres to prevent side wall cracking.
You might like to try spraying silicon oil as preventive measure.
