Title: Japanese Blitzkrieg Ww2 Malaya
Description: in MalaysiaScaleModelling.com
Loo CK - August 3, 2009 02:08 PM (GMT)
Dear Forumers,
I finally took the time to compile some new photos and inserted them in the homepage
hereThis differs from the armorama feature as I have yet to complete the tank then
heere and it looks like I will only fully complete the diorama after Merdeka09. There is quite a lot of vegetation that I have to put onto the trees and landscape to better represent the rich Malayan flora.
Enjoy and all comments and criticisms are welcomed

Loo, after seeing Ahhows comment, I took the liberty...hope you dont mind:

Perhaps a broken signboard to give a sense of location? One of those old black and white ones?

PoohBear - August 4, 2009 04:34 AM (GMT)
Sky-san, the bike is from Tamiya. The detail bits are Lion Roar PE. Follow the linky Loo provided in the OP for a good read.

Gents,
Many thanks for the comments, suggestions and compliments. The signboard may just be added ( thanks shah!)
As for the water, it was generally an airbrushed base of mud and green shades plus dark yellow and on top of it was many layers of commercial parquet varnish. Its close to 5mm thick of varnish, and is still not completely dry after 1 week of touch up.
I initially wanted to pour on some clear resin but decided not to do it this round.
Sil, the machine gun is the standard Japanese gun at most of their AFV.

Loo, something like this? (UK sign, but u get the idea I mean)

Isnt the jap machine gun called Nambu or Pambu or Jambu or something?

Tauke Loo,
Very nice to see the dio again. Let me know if you need the extra foliage. Can spare some perhaps half a shoe box full.
Cheers,
Richard.
  ...jambu...pambu...  ..you..ah Shah!!
