The picture of the pilot sitting in the cockpit reminds me of broder shah's post of a girl playing nintendo virtual flight thingy with a huge helmet on the face hehe, sebiji  .

Nice one bro, keep us posted, jgn sibuk sangat layan PERSIB tu, take a break and do model kalau tension tension nanti

azlandiver - July 30, 2009 10:09 AM (GMT)

tuan sarjana-this is 48th scale.....no secret.....lepas sapu wash tu.......lap brush sikit atas kertas & sapu sikit2 atas dial bagi ada kesan ala ala foggy (bukan doggy tau  )

yup bro hand brush....... :D

landyshah - July 31, 2009 04:38 AM (GMT)
Tamiya acrylic memang not so good to handbrush....too fast to dry and jadi gumpal gumpal....can be done, but needs care and proper thinning. Much better for spraying. But generally, this is characteristic of many acrylics...no fight to enamel or lacquer

Selam: since pilot dah kena eject, lu mau bikin seatbelt..tengok kat SINI. Since dah nak jadi PRO modeller, baik ko buat, kalo tak ROTAN standby

BTW, what is the advantage of this promodeller wash? Its like USD 8.99 per bottle at lucky..mahaiii.....All my life I used enamel thinned wash...how much better is this?

dremel - July 31, 2009 04:51 PM (GMT)
agreed ...chantique lan....
hand brush i luv humbrol...gunze acrylic pon best....kena dgn thiner leveling

tak ramai yg terer guna tamiya utk hand paint....klu tak biasa paint akan berkumpul kat brush..kolor x lekat..boring siut...hahahah

ade 3-4 org jer yg gua kenal terer pai tamiya utk hand paint...

azlandiver - August 1, 2009 08:12 AM (GMT)
shah-betol tu tamiya acrylic tak berapa elok utk handbrush tapi kena thinned dulu la...thats what i do with this cockpit...tapi levelling thinner takde so terpaksa pakai thinner biasa.....so far okje la for my beginner skill :P

thanks bro for the link.....i've seen it before this & planning to do the seatbelts......since ko dah keluarkan ROTAN  .....ko mengingatkan aku pada algojo yang rotan banduan kat penjara la :P

aku semua benda nak try bro.....sekarang ni promodeller wash lepas ni nak cuba jugak enamel wash mcm ko ajar dulu tu kan

dr dre aka naza :D -thanks bro......at the moment gunze punye kaler takde utk proyek ni cuma tamiya je jadi pakai dulu ler ^_^

memang berkumpul kat brush jadi kena sentiasa cuci ngan air & goncang botol.....will i be the 5th person terer pakai brush dgn tamiya? wakakkaka with my beginner level mungkin lama lagi kot huhuhuhu

wah bos, bagus tuh engine...lu bikin with engine cover open?...then dun forget the wiring bos..haha.

a word about tamiya acrylic.....not too long ago i was kinda anti acrylic paints, perhaps for the sole reason i didnt know the right way to apply it, everytime i use them, i ended up messing the build.
But recently, after try them out again using the proper thinner, i find they are not as bad as i thought they were...working with a brush i could paint almost anything from figures to large parts, highlightings, glazing, toning and even filtering. but i have to admit when it comes to fine pin point spraying, they are not as good as gunze lacquer.
the best part about tamiya acrylic...they are easy to work with on a spray gun, they give a matted finish, which i find hard to achieve from gunze , if you combine both gunze and tamiya, the level of finish would be eye catching.

Bung ari, gue bikin engine covernya tutup.
Thanks for the tips, but now I'm still using spray can & most of the small parts are handbrush too.

bos..its rather expensive to use spray can, why not just invest in airbrush?. i dont really know about the kind of airbrush they have in malaysia, but in jakarta you could buy one as low as rm60...its not iwata standard but okay for light work with 0.03mm nozzle, budget compressor would be around rm130...and could get you about 30psi, good enough for general spray work. see if got any kaki going to jakarta, just ask them to buy for you la....it will im sure save you alot of $ in the long run than using spray can which does not allow you to do shading and kenot mix the paints for various colours
