Yeah Loo I'm around and unfortunately suffering from a severe case of "Very slow to non-existent building cum No buying" syndrome.

Most of Young Miniatures busts (no pun intended, ok maybe a little) are on the expensive side. I don't own any but I've read they are generally good. I probably have to get over this bugaboo about painting part of a figure I suppose before I actually paint a bust. Looking at the poor sawn-off M249 just makes it weird for me. :)

Still the bust has lots of details from the camo vest to the digital camo BDU to the hose of his water backpack. Most importantly this chappie's facial is actually different from a short period when Young Miniatures bust tended to mildly resemble each other. If I were to get any of Young's Miniatures it would be one of their oldies the Roman Centurion. :)

PoohBear - July 24, 2009 12:59 AM (GMT)
JC, don't suppose there's any chance for the Roman Centurion bust?

My highly tuned donkey handler nose smells poison on the way...........

PB,

I'll check that angle out.

Basically, if there is demand from you guys, and if I can oblige, I will.

beachbum,

I'll check and see if they have any donkey busts, or donkey handler busts.

PoohBear - July 24, 2009 01:51 AM (GMT)
Thanks JC.

If the sawn off M249 is anything to go by, I suspect friend beachbum won't take to donkey busts too well seeing that they are somewhat...err...putting it mildly, half-donkey-ed?

f-4dablemodels - July 24, 2009 02:10 AM (GMT)
Half donkey-ed = 'don' or 'key'

beachbum - July 24, 2009 07:10 AM (GMT)
Its not so much the "don" or the "key" but rather which end of the donkey that appears in the bust.

"There can only be one thing worse than half a donkey, and that's the wrong half of the donkey"....Old Armenian proverb.

Now back to your regular "busty" program.

I've only managed to secure 3 pcs. of the USMC Fallujah bust from the first shipment.

The retail price is SGD 89.90, which is approx RM 215.90.

Will offer the first 3 sets for RM 194/- each. PM if interested.

Other Young miniatures products will be brought in only on request.

f-4dablemodels - July 29, 2009 10:22 AM (GMT)
OK, two gone.

Only one left.

f-4dablemodels - August 16, 2009 11:27 AM (GMT)
The 3 sets I ordered are now in country.

As a bonus, all 3 sets have been autographed by Calvin Tan who built & painted the sample used on the box top and the website.

2 have been reserved. Only one set left.

Offer piece of RM 194/- expires on 21/8/09.

I will also start taking pre-orders for any other Young Miniatures figures/busts.

Thanks.

f-4dablemodels - August 24, 2009 01:02 AM (GMT)
Offer is now over.

Many thanks to those who ordered this item.

Trust that you guys will enjoy it.

Even the resin smells different - almost almond like.

No more discount, but there is still one last autographed piece left if anyone wants one.
