For the purposes of determining the quorum required for the AGM, we will take the number of ordinary membership as at 20.April 2006, which is the last day for us to present to allmembers the agenda for the upcoming AGM. The Last day to hold the AGM is 20 May 2006.
However you can sign up at any time. students in university or colleges are required to get prioir consent of the chancellor.
By the rules application for membership is subject to it being proposed and seconded by existing members. But that is unlikely to be a problem. If you have no proposer/seconder let us know.

Loo CK - May 21, 2006 04:02 PM (GMT)
jimbo, best pm f4-ablemodels aka jason our treasurer elect to arrange for the subscription.
least anyone else forget or might not know, sftpms is a non profit orientated society solely for the sake of promoting the hobby. what little subscription is collected at the moment might not even cover the auditing of the accounts later as required by the registrar of societies and other neccesary admin cost. those who have not registered, please do so as Chow is about to finalise the special deals for members soon. you do not want to miss out, trust me.
koowilliams - May 21, 2006 04:30 PM (GMT)
summerised - i'll try to help....

Loo CK - May 24, 2006 09:24 AM (GMT)
Welcome, CP. Glad you can make it. We are in the process of getting some acknowledgement or ID for members so that they can be recognised during the special sales which we are trying to organise with the LHS for support of the society. So far one LHS has arranged that. Even HHQ has given the forum members a special sales day not too long ago. Do let your other friends who are modellers know as well
TQ

Treasurer Jason should be making his rounds to MH soon. Once the form and fee are collected, a receipt will be issued to you by post or by hand, and an ID will be sent to you in the near future.

Just got the form from Hobby HQ yesterday and I might be submitting it as well as the fees today (I can submit the form and fees at Hobby HQ right?). :)
mattbok - July 4, 2006 05:49 AM (GMT)
Dear all,
I've registered myself as Ordinary Member during the outing at Ikano last month and was given an official receipt. Am I suppose to get anything else apart from that?
Thanks a bunch
Regards,
mattbok
Argrillion - July 4, 2006 06:01 AM (GMT)
Once we are done with Tamiyacon, the society will design the membership ID and issue to all members. Please note for economic purposes we can't be printing membership ID for one or two members. We have to do everything in bulk considering the small membership fees are also used to run numerous competitions and showcases we had since March 2006.
mattbok - July 4, 2006 06:06 AM (GMT)
Thanks for the clarification, look forward to meet up with you guys again soon.
