Chris,
this will take practice and its best to use a fine triple 0 brush or a fine toothpick.
The right paint is also important and I recommend Vallejo arcylics strongly because it has very bright and fine pigments even when its dilluted.

If you are referring to the instrument dial faces, a bit of drybrushing will do nicely.

My few attempts are here

Hope this helps

Thanks Loo,

i have tried using knifes, toothpicks and also pens, but when i tried to use the toothpick stings of paint went on to the instrument panel, like cheese hanging on pizza! Is this because i didnt thin the paint or is the paint i used not suitable for fine fork such as the instrumen panels, etc.

Chris

If the paint is gooey sticky and stringy then its probably too thick and you should thin it but don't overdo or you will end up with something akin to a wash.
