Can any professional tell me what's the use of these PE saw??? I mean as far as I know that PE fret are very very thin, right? Then how can these thin PE saw actually saw plastic or resin parts???

And if these are meant to be saw as modelling tools, then is there any sort of handle to fixed the saw on so user can hold and do the sawing???

Thanx in advance.

Not a professional but having used similar ones before, I will say (different ones) these are some mighty useful tools to have if you like to play surgeon & hack, cut, slice & dice your kits.

These PE saws are made of harder stuff than the typical brass PE and can take quite a fair bit of abuse. The thinness helps so that you don't cut away more than you have to on small parts.

Depending on the saw type ends, you can attach them to x-acto type handles or the typical standard sized sliding blade cutter handle and saw away to your hearts content.

Have used Lion Roar & one of the Crazy Modeler ones. I would imagine the LR set is good for heavy duty use whilst the smaller sets eg. Crazy Modeler will do better for finer cuts.

IIRC, kuman (or was it somebody else?) did a quick look post at of the CM sets before. Said person got a finger cut too in the bargain if I'm not wrong. ^_^

Don't have a picture right now but there's a review of the LR set at the link below.

The other type of material used for these saws are stainless steel. LR set is really thick; good for doing resin 'choppa' work. Thin saws are typically used to do cutting with minimum dimensions changes.
