Climb into a T-34 with me and I'll work the gears.

GI: What say you to sharing a bottle of Vodka behind the wall where no one can see?
Girl: What about the Vodka bottle shoved up the part of your anatomy where the sun don't shine?

Patrick O Patrick... as usual, ur painting skill amazing as always...
One thing, wtf did u get these figures... the lady is ugly and doenst look Russian to me... and the saying they got mother of all boooomb was contradictory in these girls.
Furthermore, i really think that the girl in the second vignette is Mr Bean disguised as Russian Girl... what the heck............

Thanks for posting this hilarious work of yours...

and happy father's day!

I see a slight change of gears from Punjabs to Russians.

Ok-dokey nice shading to place emphasis on....er....chest assets including a subtle if not strategic shade on her singlet for the 1st. lady. Noticed a slight slack which is unusual for you (must be all those late nighters you've been keeping), the hand of the GI on the 3rd pic has a bit of overun on the shadows between his fingers on the hand drapped over the Ruskie.

I love the idea of the 2 together, sought of Western Capitalism meets Eastern Communism in an unholy alliance but to split hairs I would probably have gone with a different shade of green for either of them so they have a bit more contrast when placed together (i.e. one in darker olive drab and the other in lighter, faded green). But then again, its just me and if you don't plan to put them together it doesn't really matter.

Thanks for sharing these, Comrade Worn Shorts.

Very busy of late so have to attend to one thing at a time. Thanks for both the positives and brickbats. Taken note. The female Russian tanker is from either Takahashi or Yosci. Not sure. The pair are Verlindens.....which explains the 'Mr Bean effect'. ;)

Beach, this time it's really the lighting regarding the uniforms. The blues and whites in the color spectrum is more than the reds and yellows. Poor and hurried adjustments on my part. The Russian's uniform has a greyish brown shade to the green and the GI's is a greener shade of the OD range.

Cheers

I love it, figure painting is recreating life, not so when building cold hard machines.
I can see the twinkle in her smile and the sparkle in her eye.
Two Thumbs up!

Thanks enghui. Excuse me for the late response. Oh yeah, I like the great panel lines job you did on the Westland Whirlwind. 1/72 Airfix I recall. I bet the kit's decals are for the Dieppe Raid.
