Description: Revell models

O Naval Masters....can a aircraft and car building landlubber ask a question pls?

Anyone know the difference between the Revell 1/44 Type VIId and Revell 1/44 Type VIIc models?

I checked Type C fires torpedos while Ds are minelayers....are they two different molds?

TIA

Type VIID is basically Type VIIC with extended section to carry 5 mines...the rest is the same. This is reflected in the revell kit, hull is different and minelaying parts added, but other sprues are common. See my build under the GB section if u wanna know how it looks....

Another type Revell made is VIIC/41 which has extended conning tower with more flak guns.

The other one on the market is the Academy Type IX...really sucky kit but the only one in similar scale (1/150)

Hope this helps
