some preliminary shots of the current build. After a gruelling research session with the hundred acre wood resident, the colour charts are finalised.
Trump's late Mig is quite accurate except the colour references sucks big time. Some minor detail exclusions will be highlighted in later postings. So far so good except for some fit issues at the stabilisers and tail and some injection mold pin cleanup at the flaps.

More soon.

Cheers

the ribbings to the fuselage and details added. The part with the bondite is the tissue where the pilot's foot is put climbing in on the outside.

These are some progress shots of the Mig-3 which couldn't get out of the production factory. In a nutshell, the sequence of photos shows the surgery made to the details on the vertical side plates which do not exist in the real plane. The framework for the plane's fuselage was added to the internal cockpit area and the tube struts were stuck onto the cockpit console.
2 additional control wheels were cast from negative moulds of the single wheel on the right side. After adding the wires, tubings and gas tanks, and seats plus belts, the cockpit should be good for the paint shop.

C&C welcomed!

Cheers and lets continue modelling! Holiday's over folks.....

Ah. return of the miggy. ^_^

The 'cast' turn wheels looks quite alright.

The instrument panel is way better in 32nd.

The radio battery needs work though same as little sister.

Ought to look great with some spaghetti mess thrown in.
