what blue did u use? i kinda like the blue ^_^
since your evo7 is dark, its easy to get under expose pics(picture too dark) dats why those dark area all black black, what you can do is set the exposure +0.5 ~ +1.0, all camera can do this
most of fujimi's evo front lamp are very disppointed, looks really fake, if not i might get some evos too :P
UnknownUser - May 7, 2009 10:30 AM (GMT)
thanks brother entau for your camera info..
the blue i used..if i'm not mistaken, it's tamiya ts-15 blue..
yea, the fujimi evo's head lights are very disappointed, but then they have some improvement in Evo VIII MR and Evo IX. these two cars can be considered as very good quality of the fujimi Evo series..
I have one more Tamiya Evo VI rebuildin' in progress..planning to spray it white or silver.. :D

A good build overall, only few points needs attention
1. Try dry brushing the Mitsubishi logo at the front grille, then paint the inner areas.
2. The paint is bit thick, but for a rebuild, it's normal.
3. Mould lines at the rear bumper is bit obvious.
4. Suggested that u give the panel lines a black wash.
Just my 2cents, we all have the passion for modelling, let's build more.
If u have the time, try joining the WRC, GT cars GB.

About headlamp,my kit also same..so i just smoke it like headlamp tinted..looks ok for me..hehhe..just try bro
UnknownUser - May 8, 2009 01:26 AM (GMT)
brother sky, yea..i kena virus Evo..beware, this virus even stronger than the H1N1 virus..later all of the car modellers build evo too..
brother bv, ya, the paint is too thick, 'coz the first two coats were not shinny, so spray until the fourth-layer..it's a little bit too thick..by the way, which kind of the sandpaper is normally use in clearing the mold lines? can i get it from local hardware shop? will try out WRC or Super GT cars...especially the Motul Pitwork/Xanavi Nismo Z..the best GT car ever..
brother snake, owh..your impreze lost the wipers too? haha..will you try to get some replacement? yaya..the head lights are not detail..which impreza are you? the tamiya or the fujimi? version?
one more thing..i hate fujimi's mesh..tamiya's way better..i would have changed it if i have the tamiya's..
Entau - May 8, 2009 02:52 AM (GMT)
sand pape u can use hardware shop one, i usually start with 400 or 500, then 600 or 800 and finally smoothen with 1000, sanding is very important as this prepare the base for the car body ^_^

i will post the picture if i get a hp camera...hehehe
but nevermind ibcoz its prize under rm50(2nd hand)..so no wonder la..

UnknownUser - May 8, 2009 09:16 AM (GMT)
thanks brother entau..will go and buy later..many thanks to your info, currently buildin' fujimi lambo, no mold lines were found in this car..lucky me..haha..fujimi has increase their accuracy and quality in the lambos and ferraris these days, so fujimi kits are worth to buy now! at least better than revell's ferrari..
ohh..brother snake, i guess your impreza probably be the old impreza..i thought yours was the newer version like ver8 or ver9...i like version 9, so wanna ask if the fujimi subaru impreza wrx ver9 quality is good and worth to build or not..
wah..rm50 consider cheap, doesn't matter if it is a 2nd car..i got this evo7 gsr for rm50 also..from toycity in year 07'...evo7 and integra dc9 was selling together at rm99.90 that time..so cheap, without thinking any further..bought it from toycity..
haha..everyone kena racun by the evo virus now..see, told you guys that the evo virus way stronger than H1N1 virus..haha..you gonna mod your evo6 too? i'm gonna rebuild my evo6 too..everything is done just left the body to be painted. it's going to be OOB too..can't wait to see your evo6!
as for my new projects (out of the rebuild ones), currently stop producing japanese sports..'coz now i wanna start buildin' the european sports like ferrari, lamborghini and the audi r8. just ordered the r8 from hhq today, now waiting for the arrival..it might take a long time..but will wait patiently..haha..thanks mr. low!
snakeripper - May 8, 2009 09:36 AM (GMT)
hehehe..my impreza is old version but i like it...for my evo dunno when i can finish it..will concerntrate to GB build, maybe impreza wrc or alfa romeo dtm..as u know, this spraycan color hard to find..so must find it 1st...latest version of fujimi kit it is ok or not bro..?

Dun know much bout cars.
But i can giv some info bout photography. Ur outdoor car pic is capture under shade right? Light source from behind the car, that's y the shadow at the front. Try capture with light source fr camera direction, or under the sun (best time is evening 6 - 8 pm or morning 8 - 10 am) where the sun is not too bright. Hope this help. ^_^
Like the blue color.
kalam2b - May 8, 2009 02:34 PM (GMT)
evo flu huh? :) i have the antibiotic. it's called tamiya ferrari (F40,F50,enzo)! i think it will work 4 me , i guess. (haven't try yet, stacked dustly in my storeroom) . :P
UnknownUser - May 8, 2009 04:47 PM (GMT)
as for the fujimi kits..they are improving now, especially the ferrari and lamborghini kits. so far, i have no fitting problems. while the japanese cars, can't give you any detail comment yet..'coz just concentrate in buildin european sports now..
as for your fujimi japanese cars info..i like fujimi's evo VIII MR and evo IX which i think the quality is good..don't buy fujimi's rx8..it's really disappointing..i built one before, the front bumper is not accurate..
still..i recommend tamiya kits...haha..
becky, i'm know nothing about photographing techniques..but i think i can learn more from this hobby..thanks!
kalam, you should spread your tamiya ferrari virus too..haha.. which i think i will get infected as well.. ^_^

unknown user, this is a lovely rebuild, looks OK to me :D
for the wiper problem, you can buy the FTO kit and build it as the LHD version and you will have the wipers for the RHD for this evo !
keep up the good work. this color reminds me of my autoart evo vii !
