So far so good. The face makes or breaks a figure especially the eyes and looks like your progress leading to acheiving a good job is very likely. Eyes well done and so's the mouth, teeth etc. Looks like the hair comes as a separate piece and you could have left it as it is to give you more elbow room to work on the face. What scale and where to buy?
Cheers
Patrick

Er...Patrick I think the scale is mentioned in the title of Chan's post. 1/6th.
I agree with ole Patrick though in that often its the face that makes or breaks most figures and I suppose more so in the large scale. The skintones as in your other post is smooth and well done. I like the extra details on the lower lips.
Unfortunately being unable to escape my approach of painting military figures at much smaller scales I wish there were a bit more shadows and highlights although I know its usually not the style used in the large scale figures. For example the hair. I would have added some highlights near the top of the head and shadows in between the strands to break up the "solid one piece" feel but that's just me.
I've always found the anime approach to painting eyes fascinating. You know how they have the top part of the iris darker and the lower half lighter with a slight sparkle. Perhaps a bit more gloss on the eyeballs might create a more water-like shine to the eyes. I would have also painted a slight darker reddish pink on the insides of the eyelids but then again its just me.
Lovely work.

Mr Tomcat,
Nice build, Keep it coming.
Guys,
Actually the figure looks much more better actually. the picture is over exposed.
One suggestion for mr chan, try taking the picture with lower exposure, another way is move the light further.

Take the photo under direct sunlight, prefer morning 9am to 11am, use light yellow card to contruct your back ground and dont use flash. :D Hope this tips can improve your next photos.
