Description: to all ferrari fans..

UnknownUser - May 7, 2009 02:14 AM (GMT)
hey guys..just found this car..according to the revell official site, they are going to release this car on september..what do you think?

anyone wanna grab it? i'm planning to do so but just worried about revell's quality..i guess the ferrari fans like me would grab one!

revell ferrari california

Well, for me, knowing Revell, the rims would most probably suck (don't know why Revell usually use the weird configuration for the wheels).

I will most probably buy it but if Fujimi manufactures it as well, I will buy both. The Revell ones for the engine and the Fujimi ones for the body, suspension and all the others...

UnknownUser - May 7, 2009 03:04 AM (GMT)
yea..according to most of the modellers, the revell's rims are terrible..and i'm planning to hunt for a revell r8, just don't know where to get it..'coz toycity doesn't sell revell kits..too bad that fujimi doesn't make r8..

reason why i like revell is because they have full engine detail, unlike fujimi which is only an "engine" cover..

if fujimi is going to release ferrari california too, i'll go for fujimi..

is revell an expensive kit to go for? fujimi's ferrari and lamborghini kits are expensive than the japanese cars..never build revell kits before, so wanna know which is more worthy, fujimi or revell...

From my observation, some Revell Ferrari model kits are decent because they includes engine detail but usually the thing that turn off the interest is usually the rims. It is usually because of the weird assembly or sometimes the size is too small.

As far as the pricing is concern, it depends from where did you get the model kit. If you order Revell model kits from HLJ, the price will be too expensive even before adding in the shipping. You can get better price ordering from our LHS.

I have a few Ferrari model kits in my "to buy" list and Fujimi's fast manufacturing of Ferrari subjects is not helping at all...

well, last few months ago when i was at old MH(miniatures hobby) i was to buy a revell f430, coz got full engine details, BUT once i see inside i decided not to buy it

why? the details of the engine sucks, the interior sucks, and of coz the wheel sucks too, so didnt buy it, though fujimi f430 engine is only top part, but the details look much sharper than the revell, after close everything the engine is not much visible except the top part

maybe you can ask MH or HHQ whether they got any of the revell kit you looking for, if they got defnitely lots cheaper than HLJ ^_^

If not mistaken saw 1 of this in MH, not sure still there or not.

and one more thing that revell does it suck..it's the tyres of the car..they are too shinny until they look like plastic...and as i search from AF, about the complete models of revell, their interior is just too plastic feel..saw some pictures of completed revell f430 from AF..the interior makes me feel like i would rather buy the fujimi version..

brother druid..i have a 'wishlist' as well..i wish to get one f430 scuderia, but just wana improve my skills before building that hot babe! 'coz i have a f430 coupe, but due to my building skills, it's not perfect..

oh ya..the new HHQ which is now located at the Fraser Business Park is more closer to my living place..maybe i should drop by and ask mr. low to order for me..last time i went there to buy some gunze paints and had a talk with mr. low, if i'm not mistaken, he's okay to bring in some models for us, right? wonder if he would bring in just one or two kits for me..

i just got my F430 Scuderia last week :P

i must say the quality is much better compare the normal f430, actually i didnt had a f430, i compare on the f430 spider :P

Except 1 clear sprue which consist of the rear glass, front lamp & several clear parts which is from the old f430, the rest is all new tooling, the only set back is half engine and no suspension details

oh man..can't wait to see your car..you get it from LHS or HLJ? well..i've checked the price from the HLJ website, it's quite expensive..i'll leave it until my skill improve..

here's my ferrari wishlist..
1. F430 spider
2. 360 modena coupe
3. 599 Fiorano GTB
4. 612 Scaglietti
5. California
6. F430 Scuderia

oh gosh..lots of money to spend, gotta look for part time job when i have a sem break..

Currently I have F430 coupe and 360 modena spider, wanna collect no. 1 and no.2 to complete my collection of F430 series and 360 modena series..and I wanna Murcielago too, to complete my Gallardo + Murcielago series..so now starts saving money.. ^_^

or buying lottery? who knows if i'm in luck..the lottery company will pay for them..
haha..i'm underage, it's illegal to me..later the cops arrest me..no..better don't do it..
just kiddin'...

f430 scuderia always out of stock, i got it online, i think its even harder to find it at our LHS

6 ferrari kits, thats at least rm600 and above :P

u can collect it 1 by 1 slowly

druid_99 - May 7, 2009 11:36 AM (GMT)
Well, I have about 50 Ferrari model kits (unbuilt) and I need to get about 8 more before Fujimi releases the 206 Dino Competizione (Which I already have one from Airfix). <_<

I think you can order from HHQ but it depends on the availability... The newer ones is possible to be obtained but not the rare and older model ones lah... I am also thinking of ordering a few of the Ferraris from HHQ soon.

UnknownUser - May 7, 2009 04:00 PM (GMT)

walau brother druid..how much did you spend on those ferraris? wow..50 ferraris..man..that's amazing!

uhh..rare kits should be very expensive..just worried when i plan to order the scuderia, fujimi has already discontinue it..not skilled yet, not dare to touch that hot babe..nanti kena burn..haha..
