Many thanks to HHQ for bringing this into our shores....

Many thanks for the detailed review my co-moderator.
I had a peek at this kit and although the details are not too bad I'm confused as to why Eduard would make this figgie a bit difficult to assemble by having the upper torso split into 2 which can become a problem if the both parts don't fit precisely.

Maybe they thought 'hey where's the fun for you guys if we gave a solid one piece casting of the torso?' ^_^

Rev,
Not quite sure what's your question here...
Are you refer to what're the colour for the PE? they're pre-painted = no need painting
Or you're refering to the colour of the figure? I think we can use the box art as reference...
Or you are refer to something else?

My sentiments exactly. I will post an update of the subassemblies which shows some rather nightmarish putty and hacking required.

Friends,
some update of the construction progress

this is a shot of the paint codes as requested

the seam lines at the legs cut across the details of the pants and need some hack and cleanup effort

right hand with some minor cleanup done and a bit more

right arm

left torso join requiring work

top torso also require some work

left

worked on

worked on

nightmare at the leggings

and face at the chin line requiring cleanup

cleanup done without putty work at the arm pit/hand joins, feet joins and the waist line. Temporarily put together with blue tack and PE parts are coloured, so they are not attached yet

After the cleanup, the detail and pose of the kit looks absolutely fantastic. Reccomended to those with some experience. As for the cleanup tools, I use the trusty Xacto for scrapping, 800 and 1000 grits Tamiya sandpaper, metal file and emery polisher stick. After major scrapping, all areas without polishing like at the shoes were gone over with Tamiya extra thin.
Cheers

Loo,
Very nice. I like the pose at the end. Very natural. The assembly reminds me of my Speeder Bike rider. Also in halves except it was a full head to toe minus the arms. What helped was easy cutting for modification.
Boris Safonov will look good painted up.
Richard.

Loo,
Thanx for the first look review... Great figure indeed this is.... especially the pose!
I mean most large scale plastic figure available always have the posing issues.... mostly Dragon 1/16 series lots of them are either destorted or not looking right (pose).... Tamiya consider OK but still their pose are too commercial to me.
The only thing I'm picky about is Eduard should at least put in the effort on more finer detail sculpt of the "shhep skin" texture around the winter boots.
I'm very sure this will turn out a great figure after painting.

Yup, as you say those gaps and seam lines look pretty horrific. All the pity seeing as the fig is well proportioned and well posed. The seam lines on the fur leggings must have been a pain to cleanup.

Gents,
it took a while to texturise the fur leggings and CP is quite right, the details could have been a bit finer but would have really made the cleanup difficult.
I will try to putty it up and get in some base coats this weekend. Will try an airbrush scheme approach for the blending for this 16 scale kit on the flesh tones.
