Title: Re-amemiya Rx7 Drift Machine (re-colour)
Description: D1 grand prix series

sky_tokyodrifter - May 1, 2009 03:10 AM (GMT)
Hi again seniors,

Another new post of my collection from the D1 grand prix team "RE-AMEMIYA RX7". I decided to repaint the whole car with crazy colours, throwing away the dull blue colour which was the original theme. After market parts were added extra and some parts were also repositioned. So teach me and help me to improve guys and enjoy.......

looks good sky, is the wheel original in the kit?

actually i like the original light blue but ur custom scheme looks quite match the decals too :)

maybe u should try using super glue instead of cement, do not apply glue on bumper then position into body, instead position the bumper into the body until everything align/flush nicely, then using a toothpick or stretch sprue, apply super glue or thin cement(very little) on the join part from INSIDE

hope this helps ^_^

work glue from the inside hmm....... Man why didn't I think of that hahaha. I did the old conventional way by applying glue on both parts and stick together, guess I was damn wrong. Hahahaha thanks for the tip bro.
The wheels were original from the box.

Just for info, this car has been totally re-designed for the D1 grand prix 2009 where instead of the traditional blue, they changed it to white + chrome green. This is due to the fact that mutiara motors M7 from Johor has become their main sponsor now. Goooo Malaysia!!

haha..though i never been to japan..but..really wish to visit there once and feel the 'heaven' too..it's good to snap some pictures with them..wanna make friends from all around the world.

oh well..another problem is..i think you have to scratch build the front bumper and the headlights part..it doesn't have the full moulded kit of the car the picture shown right?

oh yea..another suggestion..why don't you build some initial D FDs? they are cool too...i think..keisuke's FD's the best! uhh..the project D one..oh man..love it so much!
