yes if i don't finis hit i will get my butt kick ...... and yes it very small ,and yes my eyes do hurt went i sculpt the face ( not really but it do make me very sleepy ) the fugure is about 3 cm ~ 4 cm i think.. the body is about done .

and yes the sculpey is over cook but no burn ! ( if it burn it will kembang and pecah ).

and yes i need new tools but i don't know what i need ... and yes going to do a resins cast of it ...

i need this model done for a game ...

multifilla - April 20, 2009 07:39 AM (GMT)
For 3 to 4 cm model sculpting you would need micro sculpting tools at rm 20.00 each profile plus freight.

For resin cast use silicon rubber in 1 kg pack. PM for price

Good to have you back in action.

this maybe the next thing after this one clear off the table and have been casted :D

the subject is a diorama of a conner in the " girls locker room ".. well no thing riskey will be in it and it will have a chicken pocking it head out some way :P

Revliss,

Sure your eyes do hurt sculpting such small model. Consider having a Magvu magnifier to see better and spot mistakes immediately. Available in 2x and 4 times dual lenses per set. Affordable no need pray for 4 ekor number.

Revliss,

I could see steel shots all over...nipples, belly button eyes. So sparingly used no wonder a packet will last a life time.

Looks like the fig has lots of details. Should be quite a challenge to incorporate them all in. Looking forward to see this one come to life.

Are you going for a stylized anime like look? Because your proportions are a little odd.

What kind of wire are you using? I'm planning to start on my own figure sculpting, (That's why I've been studying human proportions) but I can't find sturdy wire.

Revliss - May 12, 2009 01:53 PM (GMT)
a stylized poseing yes a stylized proportions nop last i check she still with in 7 head high and none of the rules are broken, if is the leanch of the arm that made her look odd the that ok cos i cut the wire short as the hand part will not be attach to the main body. the head is detach too .

as for the wire i use steel wire from the hard ware store don't need to be fancy ..

now the update ... censor bar install to protect every one :P ( there is not thing to censor any way :P i just like putting a censor bar )

You're right, the height is right but I think the hips are too small in relation to the chest. Aren't woman's hips supposed to be wider than the rib cage? Is it just the angle of the picture that makes it look small?

The rest of it is looking good, nice details. Keep it up.

Do note ordinary steel wires from hardware do rust and might cause flaking or cracking of cured polymer clay later on.

Better use non rusting soft sculpture wires that makes body positioning easier.

In my old days working as a technician with Matsushita repairing TVs and Video.... I've been doing a lots of soldering.... I remember soldering copper wire is the same normal soldering procedure, no extra attention needed.

But Mr. Multifilla sould final verify that with you about this.

Yes, U can't solder "steel" wire with commercial soldering... My rule of soldering will be always "scratched" the surface (the part that need soldering) so the hot lead stick...

Sometime when I do sculpting.... with steel wire, I just "tied" them up with thinner wire (remember like we made tang long...) ...

oh and pointy part will still find my finger :( .............

multifilla - May 14, 2009 08:47 AM (GMT)
Ayaah, Just listen to Mr Multifilla.

Soft sculpture wires are non tarnishing aluminium wires that will not snap off or break.
Available in many diameters and can be twisted if stronger support needed. Should take soldering as some electrical wires are aluminium. Really easy to bend yet firm in support.

Safe to use as will not draw blood as mentioned by Revliss unless you like sucking thumb.

hmmm i think i need that ...... lest see i say soldering it much safer then tied it up with thinner wire.. as the pointy end seem to find my finger every time ..........now what diameter do i need them in :D

multifilla - May 16, 2009 03:12 AM (GMT)
Just tested soldering on sculpture wire and it did not work.

To secure by twisting ends or secure with copper wires that takes soldering

REV.... WONDERFUL NATURAL POSE...

im no sculptor but i've drawn many figures and looking at the lady that you are working on now... it seem the HIP is a bit small compare to the proportion of the shoulder... and for the width of that shoulder.... its leg might need some lengthening...
