Ok guys, I think we better set some guidelines for the WRC GB.

1) The WRC GB is meant only for cars involved in WRC. No "what if's" is allowed.
2) Aftermarket is allowed.
3) You can build the model kit in any livery or sponsors be it OOB or aftermerket but again the guideline (1) applies.
4) Date line will be agreed later. (Guys, any suggestion please feel free to share).
5) Please list down the models you will be building.
6) Please show the work-in-progress if you are able to provide one (create in new thread).

That is one of it.

Another "what-if" component is like "What if the Peugeot team is sponsored by Petronas" or "What if "The Bigfoot" enters the rally" sort of thing...

This WRC Group build is supposed to be a build-up of cars being driven for the World Rally Championship. There is a lot of options that is available on-line for different schemes for most rally model kits and it is eligible to be used. Just don't use it on a different cars than on what it is supposed to be on lah... :D

Entau - April 13, 2009 10:18 AM (GMT)
alamak...

i already chop my suspension for gravel and change it to asphalt suspension which i mod earlier..

and i couldnt find the asphalt wheels, so i plan to use afrmarket wheel(not rally wheels)

but i guess its ok if i use back the gravel wheel just change the suspension only rite?

druid_99 - April 13, 2009 10:45 AM (GMT)
Not a problem... I don't want to be too strict on the guidelines. Just that I think it will be better not to have what'ifs in the Group Build.

Entau - April 13, 2009 12:35 PM (GMT)
good... :)

PcEvo - April 15, 2009 11:29 AM (GMT)

May i have some suggestion on guidelines for WRC GB here...

As the title mention, WRC Group Build means this team of model builders will have to build rally cars that are related to World Rally Championship (WRC) on whichever Group from cars manufacturers like Mitsubishi, Subaru, Ford, Toyota, Lancia (which have in model kits), Citroen and Hyundai.

One may build it either a clean 'showroom' version or 'season/weather' version. Diorama is up to individual as druid_99 mention not so strict on the rules.

You may have mods on these WRC cars but the mods need to be realistics and fact not having street, Touring or GT cars with rally decals. I think this should be another GB..emmm...Vincent how?... ....The interior of the WRC cars should have roll cage, 2 buckle seats with no rear seats, Harness, rally wheels and tyres.

About Sponsor decals...i think it should match back to their existing or past sponsoring cars manufacturer. We don't wan one like '555' sponsoring Mitsu. As for after market sponsor also is must tie back to the car manufacturer like 'Petronas' to Mitsubishi Evo 5/6 as Proton is using this 2 Mitsu models...Just my 2 cents la.. B)

Hahaha... that is another thing...

Any suggestion guys??? :D

druid_99 - April 23, 2009 12:24 AM (GMT)
Ok guys, I have thought about it and I think the deadline will be at the end of September since if it was May, it will be too soon, if it was June and July, I think there are a few GB's is ending on that month (I assume some modelers might join more than one GB) and in August we are having the Merdeka GB...

Do you guys think five months is approporate? Is it too long or is it just nice? Need your feedbacks here guys... :)

klay - April 23, 2009 01:59 AM (GMT)
i'm ok basically... as long as it's still within this year it's ok.
agree it's kinda too early for may

maxwinamp - April 23, 2009 02:07 AM (GMT)

druid_99 - April 23, 2009 02:21 AM (GMT)

Nice to see you build cars Helvatican.

Just a suggestion, since it's not much guys that really build WRC cars, why not we add another category in this GB, Touring Cars?

Touring cars are race cars such as those in the Super GT, BTCC, DTM and WTCC
