I will still be posting the wip pictures of this build, although the kit is now completed. I manage to finish this 2 cars in 2 weeks, my best personal record for car so far.

this kit have no engine, should be able to build it fast

Chassis done.

while waiting for the kit to arrive, I've draw the fire patterns in Illustrator. thanks Peter Chan for lending me his G-35 as a sample. I print the patterns on paper then add a layer of tape to strengthen it.

After nearly 3hrs of cutting, the fire template is done.

Fire template on car

I custom mix the car paint, with copper and florescent red. the bottle in the middle is the mix result.

I've never try this kind of masking template before, so I tested it on one of my testing kit. Result are promising.

the result before any touch up. Metallic paints can never be touch up by hand brushing.

The coper color painted and mask applied.

windscreen tinted with Gunze smoke

Result after 4 layers of clear coat and 3 stage polishing (rather then the usual 5 that I do due to time constrain)

BV,
the tinting with Gunze smoke is airbrushed? Does it fog up?

Yup, air brushed. It did not fog up but takes bit more time to dry. It's not dry even after 3 days.... bty it's gunze acrylic.

Unknown user,
Tq very much.
Peter,
There is some fitting problem, the wind screen and the rear lights.... the flame thing is my first try and it's only concept in my mind before I apply it.
