hashaney - April 4, 2009 03:00 AM (GMT)
BV, thank for your appreciation... Just to "Fulfill" my "Obligation" to this LOCAL forum... :)

NAZA, that paint is thinly applied but decided to close it. I take this bird FLYING rather than STANDING MOTIONLESS on the ground. I think AC should be in the AIR where it belong. So that why I need your help on "cucuk-cucuk" and Pilots.. :)

So my little update...

That is really a fast built.. looks to me that camo blended nicely as well.. The blotch that bad ka?? Aisey really 'potong' if problem arise after the model finished..

Poopeh - April 5, 2009 05:25 PM (GMT)
Maybe you should mix future with IPA. That's why i don't use future to gloss my planes. I always have the problem

mr b - April 5, 2009 11:22 PM (GMT)
That is fast and nice work

Like the way the green turned out

Bomber Vince - April 6, 2009 12:19 AM (GMT)
what color do u use bang?

hashaney - April 6, 2009 12:32 AM (GMT)
Guys, Really "potong stim" after all the "hardship doing this "beautiful" camou... Got to do the glossing bcoz lots of decal to play with...

BV, what colour to you mean?

mej®

hashaney - April 6, 2009 12:58 AM (GMT)
OK BV, I'll post the pic with overall paint call-out

major..

"glossing" = using future la kan.. :D

but again after decal can always flat back the plane right.. so no harm la.. the "hardship" is not wasted ler :D

hmmm... i think i saw there are some PE involve or come in the box for this Sufa right? or am i mistaken.. i think they have some PE for the exhaust on the CFT.. right?

correct me if i'm wrong.. since i dont have my kit yet :P

the color looks ok...

BV.. i dunno if this helps a bit... the paint code that ive gathered from the net... maybe a bit different from the actual Maajor used in his build..

Edited: Kuman same colour, Your code is water-based and I'm using Lacquer based code EXCEPT the green...

here is my experiment:

C26 Duck Egg Green is just nice but need a little bit of C319 LIGHT GREEN to get the "pale or pastel " green appearance...

H74 is too dark for pale green I guess...

Major,

You work very fast for a kit that requires considerable amount of extra work. I have this kit kit too and will build it (but not anytime soon though). Your build log have provided me with sufficient information on what hurdle to look out for.

Like you, I also like my aircraft to be 'flying'. I guess the greeblies and details in the wheel wells are, um... 'wasted' on people like us, eh. More for the spare bin, I guess ^_^ .

Kudos!

p/s: I still owe the forum a comparison review of Hasegawa's and Kinetic's SUFA

no worry Harman.. someone over at ARC has posted a comparative review for it.. but.. local flavor comparative review will be much welcomed.. :D

over at ARC

Sorry Kuman, terlupa pulak, You are right, The PE is some sort of white metal for exhaust port and left CFT panel and of course the Pitot tube comes in BRASS...

Xamel, well its quite boring to me to see AC "motionless", AC need to be in the Air where it belong, Right?

Glad that I'm able to pass my not so "nice" kit for everybody reference...

Bomber Vince - April 6, 2009 05:03 AM (GMT)
thanks 4 the color code mej.

landyshah - April 6, 2009 05:42 AM (GMT)
Yeah been doing that all my life, mark out with pencil then use as guide for spray/mask......

hashaney - April 6, 2009 05:57 AM (GMT)
Thomas, total agreed with Brian and Shah. its an old practiced for camouflaging painting.... Use 2B ORDINARY PENCIL not the mechanical type...

Kuman, not "Handfree". U still need to use your hand... Its "freestyle", no template just follow the demarcation line first than the rest inside. easy to visualize. I also wrote down the colour code inside... not to forget.

Vince, glad to help with the colour code...

Hatta apabila dilihat betapa ghairah para sahabat handai atas pesawat SUFA dan BARAK , maka patik pun dalam keadaan terharu dan gegak gempita :D

Arakian, patik amat terkilan mendapat tau tentang kegunaan auto wax. Tuan mejar boleh tolong ulas mcm mana teknik auto wax ni agar patik boleh mencedok pengetahuan?
