I’ve to kiv Cik Mek Su, and continue building all pending kits….

And now so shy to abg shah…. leopold curse terkena to me….the worst thing is I’ve to build it in camou scheme…I don’t have enough time to study about this subject…just luckly abg shah open the thread to make my life easier……..so jiwa tak kacau….

To keep all in schedule this kit was assemble by my friend and finished by my bro…..i just continue with painting only….and don’t ask me how long again ok…hahahaha :lol: :lol: :lol:

Start with Leopold....

usually camou i'll start from lighter color and patern as well...all free hand method.......

I'm not very sure how acurate the color ,because i mix my own...



and dark will go after...i try my best to keep the line as sharp as posible....

Wah wah...ada jugak geng ketapi yer....Very, very nice as usual Bro Naza.

This is the North Africa or Italy paint scheme....didnt go for this cos wanted to paint the loco black and red, so had to choose a Northern European scheme of grey for the gun....

Kalo ko tengok my choo choo train thread tu, some pics of the loco schemes at the beginning. Actually the black and red was used earlier in the war, then switch to overall dark grey....got camo oso. I use the red/black cos its classic, so the gun pun follow. But in your case, you did the gun first....

So, I would say this tan/grey camo or all grey scheme is safe to use. Those BR52 loco ader mcm mcm kaler, locally applied in the field. Here some pics dr research aku dulu:

Yes, first and third scheme tu sama la actually...tan and grey

Not difficult for ur skill la brader....hard edge camo..masking tape for this shud be senang. Do it in subassembly. Bagi the whole boiler and tender tan, then mask off and bagi grey overall. Then attach to all grey chassis...Kau tim!

It is an easier scheme I think than that damn red and black cos red tu kena right shade otherwise tak jadi. On top of that, all the tiny component different colour...ini overall grey jer.

Primer.....i did a preshading after that...but sorry no pic... :) ...lupa....




apply very light cote of sand color and follow by brown with patern....




and green last....i add abit more sand to match the whole color....after several touch up with airbrush to keep line sharp....so this is the result....

Wah, colour scheme canggih! Sure you gonna tone it down rite?

The 7 unit made of Morser spent its life in russia (Leningrad, Sevastopol, Warsaw) then captured or kondem. But around 25 of those Krupp K5 gun was made, and some went to Eastern front...Leopold is just one of them and was in france, north africa then italy.

So one Morser and one K5 ader chance pass each other la, but specifically Leopold in that colour scheme is risky maybe

But WTH, this is more "artistic licence" case as ref is hard to find.

Baguih hang ader tukang pasang kan. I wonder if Fazura will be good at that :P :P

Dora, Gamma, Karl, Leopold all different type of gun....dua jenis ni...railway gun and siege mortar

Dora: Giant huge fella railway gun, only 2 made - other one called Schwerer Gustav.
Leopold: the name of one of the 25 unit of railway gun K5, other famous one is called Robert (Anzio Annie and Anzio Express)
Karl Morser: Self propelled siege mortar...boleh angkat naik train...each of the 7 ada nama : odin, thor, etc.
Gamma Morser: From ww1 but also used in ww2, siege mortar but concrete emplacement. Around 10 made.

Semua pun ader wakil kat Sevastopol...but not the Leopold itself....

Haha banyak research I did for my build....learn about loco, railway and all those big gun!
