Here's to share my first WIP on SMM :)
Assembly is straight forward.

I put my 'Mud' in a use surfacer container.
Mud = Fine Sand + Tamiya Putty + Thinner
(You can add other ingredients if u want.. some small grass (from ends of a brush), different sizes of sand, whatever)

Here's how it look like when dried.

Use a unwanted brush and dab onto the tracks and lower hull. Randomness is key :)

Primed.

Notice the 2 different tones of 'brown'.
Lower Hull = Gunze Dark Brown and Black
Upper Hull = Gunze Red Brown

A layer of white to prepare for the Russian Green.

Gunze Russian Green :)

Some subtle toning of on the surface especially the high points. :)

Now comes the oil paints.
Before:

After:
1. Use oil paint to scrub in some variations onto the corners and surfaces, up to u where u want...
(err..some white + yellow ochre mix)

2. Raw Umber pint point wash to catch the details.

Rain streaks (oil paint) and first layer chipping added (vallejo paint)

More layers to come :)
