Here's to share my first WIP on SMM :)

Assembly is straight forward.

I put my 'Mud' in a use surfacer container.
Mud = Fine Sand + Tamiya Putty + Thinner
(You can add other ingredients if u want.. some small grass (from ends of a brush), different sizes of sand, whatever)

Here's how it look like when dried.

Use a unwanted brush and dab onto the tracks and lower hull. Randomness is key :)

Primed.

Notice the 2 different tones of 'brown'.
Lower Hull = Gunze Dark Brown and Black
Upper Hull = Gunze Red Brown

A layer of white to prepare for the Russian Green.

Some subtle toning of on the surface especially the high points. :)

Now comes the oil paints.

1. Use oil paint to scrub in some variations onto the corners and surfaces, up to u where u want...
(err..some white + yellow ochre mix)

2. Raw Umber pint point wash to catch the details.

Rain streaks (oil paint) and first layer chipping added (vallejo paint)

wah..
can copy the painting step for my KV-1 nih...

i take it the track are painted seperately right?

keep them coming.. especially like to see all those layers coming together.. :D

More colour variation toning...

ya.. still got long way to go.. NOT forgetting the bottom hull havent do yet!!! ARGGGG
