Title: Land-wasser-schlepper

Blackheart - February 3, 2009 12:45 AM (GMT)
:D Greetings all

Buat model sampai lebam sempena Hari Wilayah

Kit : Hobby Boss 1/35 Land-Wasser-Schlepper with Dragon 1/35 rubber raft (old kit)

Paint : Tamiya and wash using oil paint

Well this is a great kit for those who like ww2 but unfortunately with minor interior and rubber track..with glossy decal :( I hate glossy decal on ww2 armour

Enjoy

Very nice bro...but hell, thats one ugly thing :D

How you mean glossy decals? I thought all decals are glossy once applied and need to matt down?

Blackheart - February 3, 2009 03:12 AM (GMT)
:D thanks LS

Well theres 2 types of decal

1 - matt surface decal
2 - gloss surface decal

usually Italeri..Airfix..Afv club use matt surface decal for their afv kit..so makes the decal easier to blend with the matt surface armour color..but if you use gloss decal on a matt surface color.. <_< mmmm..yup youre right..have to matt it down..a few steps more than using matt surface decal..for this kit I did'nt use any finishing surface coat.

Nice work black heart

Shah,
I think what BH meant was the surface of the decals. As most armor tend to have a rather unsmooth finish, some decals are just too thick and smooth and breaks the plastic surface detail.

Looks like a cross between a tugboat and a tracked vehicle.

The rubber dinghy looks like a rubber dinghy.

Good job BH. :)

I love it! Desert camo on watercraft ,ironic no?

schlepp on ,schlepp on.

flylice80 - August 17, 2009 10:08 AM (GMT)
Oooo.... really like how it looked. Never thought that kit can turn out something so cool. I especially liked how you weather the... erm..... "spare tayar" (the red n white lifesaver thing).

By the way... that's not a desert camo though... probably a beach camo. :ph43r:

In fact, in the mid wars, armor come out of factory in yellow base coat instead of grey for almost all vehicles.

Eng & Fly : This is OOTB project..not much ref pic on the net..like LS said "thats one ugly thing" although a bit unique..I concentrate more to the exterior and a bit lazy to do the interior..the top cabin you can pop it up to show what's inside..notin much :D as for the camo..I just follow the instruction given..don't want to think about it so much
