Yup, Russia Day 12 June 2009 falls on Friday.

Poopeh - February 3, 2009 03:39 AM (GMT)
Since June 12 is a friday we'll have it on June 13 instead. Easier for everybody. Vodka is a good idea!

PoohBear - February 3, 2009 03:45 AM (GMT)
Na zdorovia Kamerade!

landyshah - February 3, 2009 06:28 AM (GMT)
Ok, the only russian I know is Smirnoff Blue or Stolichnaya :P

Interested to put an entry, but since its my first time, how do I do it?

Any forms to fill or just turn up at HHQ? Need to declare what I'm building beforehand?

I take it the equipment must be russian made, in russian colours only right?

Greenhorn for this GB thing, sorry

According to Poopeh, the subject has to be Russian but not limited to Russian built equipment.

The Russians operated a lot of quality US built equipment supplied under the lend-lease arrangement during WW2.

P-39's, P-40's, Sherman tanks come to mind.

PoohBear - February 3, 2009 06:58 AM (GMT)
Shah, perhaps you'll find this thread quite informative on the subject

http://z12.invisionfree.com/ScaleModelsMal...?showtopic=4291

I think there's a list in there with the participants of the GB and their subjects accordingly. Just add yourself to that list as a participant.

After that, standard procedure is to start a WIP and turn up for the event. Registration will be done on site.

If this is the defacto SGB thread then maybe the orgs might want to consider appending the latest participant list here.

cheers

Thanks a million, didnt see that thread. All my questions answered there :D

If it's a Soviet T-34, then it fits the bill, and Bob's your uncle.

rtfoe - February 4, 2009 01:40 PM (GMT)
Did I say I was going to try and enter a "Katyusha" WW2 Soviet rocket launcher. That is if I can finish it on time. It is well known as Stalins Organ because of the noise it makes when huge salvos of rockets are fired.
