Interesting :)

Good opportunity to go to town with the weathering on this one.

WizardCraft - August 17, 2009 09:19 AM (GMT)
Blackheart, did you bought this kit at HHQ?? I remembered that last time at HHQ I saw this kit at the shelves....

Since I worked in construction line before I think that the weathering is too clean... u might want to dirtied up the engine more coz this type of machinery usually they had a lot of engine oil seeping out through the gasket.... maybe I will upload some photos of a DEMAG Mobile crane photos if you dont mind>>>> :P

Wow, i likes this kind of construction machines, how come i missed this build?
This is a nice build but i prefer to add more dirt and dust, haha.

flylice80 - August 17, 2009 09:39 AM (GMT)
And alot more paint chips, oil stains.

Btw... if no decals, you can print your own.

Blackheart - August 18, 2009 08:25 AM (GMT)
PB : ha..ha..ha

WC : nop I bought it from a collector..yup last time HHQ have the same kit but some one bought it already..( the best is it's 1/24 scale )..I agree with you not heavy enough on the weathering but I think for now I leave it just like that :D

"DEMAG Mobile crane" photos?..by all means..no prob with me..especially those with heavy weathering..ooooyyeeeeaaaaaa

AH : sometimes lari from build Military one..wind of change

Fly : "print your own decal"..how?..teach me

Thanks all..will try new kind of kit in future ;)

I snapped this photo during my visit to melaka last month... this is demag 100 tonne mobile crane. I do operated a Liebherr crawler crane raging from 70 tonne to 100 tonne type crawler crane.. if compare with demag crawler crane, Liebherr has a lot of safety features.. since I've never touch a demag crawler crane b4 I cannot compare it physically with it...

there is 5 wheels on each side of the crane. please note that the front 2 wheels and the rear 2 wheels are rotatetable while the center wheel just support the the weight of the body

another view of the beast.. note it's a left hand drive vehicle

the wheel is something like faun slt 56 tank transporter but not like wise

this pic u can see clearly the center wheel is much more diffrent that the rest of the wheels

no counter weight at the rear of the crane.. note that the driver at the side.. he was thinking what was I doing snapping the photo

the exhaust. this mobile crane has 2 engine not like the normal kato or tadano mobile crane which is powered by single engine. this crane has 1 engine for road while the other at the rear is for the lifting .

this is the main lifting block. it's a 16 pully main block. this is small compare to what I seen a Manitowoc 700 tonne crane which it's lifting block is as big as a perodua kelisa and weighs aroung 5-6 tonne :o :o

Buy plain decal sheet (they are either white or clear), create your picture in computer then print it on the decal sheets (they are either laser print sheets or inkjet sheets).

huyooo abg hati hitam,

u always seem to amaze us with your unique build hehe  I didn't know there was construction machine done into model scale. I kinda like construction machines especially forklift dunno if they have or not. Anyway i got i question. For the rust, what colour did you use? is it brown? because i am making something that needs to have the rust effect but i have no clue what colour to use for rust. Anybody else also can teach? ^_^

broder hati hitam = broder landy shah = semua benda boleh hantam hahahahhaa lol

I was looking for decal sheets about 3 months ago. I found a malaysian shop on website that sells them. I called them up but they say they discontinued that product. However they did send me some leftovers they had. They have only white laser print decal sheets at that time.

Then after that I found an online model store (can't remember the name right now) who sells clear inkjet sheets. Bought them to try them out as well. It's still in my shelf. I'm planning to build an 1:32 F-15C with my wedding photo, dates and names design.

Here's a website selling them and have good instructions how to use.

Nice go at an unusual subject Blackheart. This is a lovely kit with lots of opportunities for weathering of which some of them are done quite well by you. I love these unusual subjects plus this one brought back some fond memories when I had a chance to drive a D6 I think it was, for a brief moment. Felt great to have so much power in my hands.

Thanks for sharing this one.
