since this is an "unofficial GB", then i believe you can start anytime during the course of the year... its the same with other "unofficial GB".. just a motivation to start building more... unless the society have another plan for it :D

Wow! Seems like many would be interested with a Macross GB. I'll think about it and let see if we can kick this off. Sci-fi genre haven't had it's GB yet as far as I know.

I'm trying to simulate the burning thruster effect here. Still at early stage. I'm planning to go with bluish flame burn effect. Seen here I applied Gunze's Character White and apply some burn metal along the edge of the nozzle. Still a lot more to do.

Also, I'm not a fan of large decal to apply the patterns on this fighter. I'm going to paint them instead. My butterfingers tend to tear off large decals most of the time.

To avoid tearing off decals especially those with minute crazing cracks, clean wipe decal with alcohol BP then paint over with H20 covercoat. This flexible cover coat strenghtens cracked decals to allow adjustments even over difficult areas without tearing.

Important to clean decal of anti blocking wax with alcohol to ensure even coating of H20 covercoat. Generally as long as decal is on paper, cleaning will not damage prints unless the factory covercoat is too diluted and weak. Conduct trial first.
