Very good AB for a first timer!
For your next project when you are doing the post shading, you can try to lower down the pressure from the compressor and spray a little bit more closer to your kit.
Keep it up!

Nice kit and fine job... :D
Ur skills r definitely better than mine...

Fine build Starter,
Hold your horses down when doing the pre-shade as Kirin has said and get a bit closer to give crisp lines. This will eventually show up better when you spray the main coat.
Richard.

u need to thin the paint more, I normally use a 3:7 paint:thinner ratio, slowly build up the shades...
PoohBear - December 17, 2008 03:00 AM (GMT)
The paint should come out in a fine mist and settle nicely so it's probably a case of not thinning / mixing it enough. The rough finish is probably the paint particles drying before landing on the surface. Test spray on a white plasticard or paper. If it comes out in spurts, it's too thick. If it spiderwebs, it's too thin. If it has soft feathered edge and sprays smoothly, you're right on the money.
Also try adjusting your pressure and spray distance to get balance between spray strength and paint thinning.
cheers

Usually if the spray comes out too thick, ie grainy or webs flying everywhere, I would flush the airbrush with laquer thinner and start again after thinning the paint mix more.Normally I thin the paints in a clean jar prior to putting it into the airbrush.Airbrushes are always a love hate relationship.. ^_^

thanks for the tips guys!
heres some pics

did some battle damage and zimmerit chipped off...not easy...

Please check your thinner and paint. Are they compatible? Sometimes spraying cobwebs is due to the paint are not thinned properly due to the thinner incompatibility.

This is perfectly alright. :)

Bro, I think you need to rework your towing cable. WIth the weight of the cable, it should be laying on hull. Anyway, nice progress! :D
