need to work carefully and patiently, the body is quite fragile now.

next step:
1. one more temporary beam to make it more rigid before cut open the rear end.
2. floor bed.

Looks good Kalam2b but I think the car is already looking good even if you didn't add the extra lines/wide fenders on it...

kalam2b - January 15, 2009 04:28 AM (GMT)
Alfa? just a bit i think, actually i'm trying to make it to look like asma design CLS shark II front end. As per wide body, i'm addicted to it. :)

anyone have tried selleys multipurpose epoxy putty? i've bought one but the performance is not up to tamiya epoxy putty. yes it cure faster (even faster than green tamiya epoxy putty) but it is quite hard to sanding it. how's the bondite performance?

4 this project i'm going to use various type of putty family.
tamiya epoxy putty - green
tamiya epoxy putty - blue
tamiya putty
mark surfacer
papermate liquid paper :)

Entau - January 16, 2009 11:21 AM (GMT)
looks fierce

liquid paper? how to use? :o

Becky - January 16, 2009 02:01 PM (GMT)
Small gaps n holes filling for the liquid paper?

kalam2b - January 16, 2009 05:24 PM (GMT)
yes liquid paper as alternative for surfacer. for tinywinie scratch. if you want to try it use normal wipe type avoid pen type.

Bondite is much better than Selley's multipurpose epoxy putty. If mixed equally it will harden in an hour and sandable in two hours.

While hardening, it can be smoothen by shaping it using knife/screwdriver dipped in water (I use my hand though). It is also quite easy top handle and can be shaped using sandpaper and file when it's already hardened.
