Zaidi,
I didn't know it's 'new' there. Never been to A'Famosa Resort before. Yup, too bad the condition is deteriorating. I guess in few years, it'll be a rusted APC if no one pay any attention to it.
The unit is at the Archery, Buggy, Paintball part of the resort. A few KM after Cowboy Town, on the left side of the road.

Pegi ambik gambar 2 kali tu  . First time, battery ran out. After check out and lunch, went back there again with loaded battery.
Sampai my wife's friend tanya "Laki ko nak jadi askar ke?".
But then, it must've been all the seluar loreng that I wore during our stay there. The photo session kinda like supporting evidence, kot.

Xamel, this is not APC Condor lah... This is "Made in the US of A" Cadillac Cage V-150 Commando 7.62mm GPMG Coax... (Twin Barrels). Its already rusted before painting bcoz we decom this guy more or lest 20 years ago!!! Its really need a lot of anti rust, scrapping n welding if we want to preserved this APC. Anyway its a good walkaround...

Guys,
If you are coming out from the Curve going back to LDP, Sg Penchala direction, on left hand side if you look, I thought I saw some Armoured Vehicles on display. Any one notice this?
I am also wondering, how much would it cost to maintain this vehicle as a personal use? I remember seeing a program on Astro where this guy in London bought from the Brit Army one of their Armoured Vehicle (Cant remember which one) and gave the hostess of the program a ride in the middde of London City :D He got a special permit from the Road Transport, etc....
Would be cool to have one, maintain the colour (camo or OD), customized the inside and Whoa..... drive around KL! Even a Hummer H3 pun boleh blah la... (Sorry guys if anyone here have a H3 in their garage he, he, he....)

Thanks CK!

Dredd,
The armored car at The Curve is the Ferret Scout Car, if I'm not mistaken. If I cannot get one of the armored car, I'd be happy if I could own a Willy's Jeep in OD.
That or a Kettenkrad  . (Eat your heart out, Mat Rempit!)

One of it is the Ferret Scout Car or for our Malaysian Armed Force is the Harimau 2000 Scout Car. Not sure if we can go in and have a look though.
As far as I know, there are a handful of guys in the US as well as the UK that have the Ferret Scout Car in their garage. A very difficult to drive (a lot of switch, levers and knobs to operate before start-up and the steering position is very different...) but a very strong vehicle on the road.
Here's a site that can give you some hint of owning an armored car or even a tank!
http://www.users.zetnet.co.uk/lsm/dhmg/index.htmlThere's a lot of stories in there told by owners of the armored cars and
this is one of the story that I find hillarious...

Hi Guys,
Isn't this the version that was ambushed in the East West Highway up North by CT's using an RPG. Sadly the occupants didn't survive. My uncles talked about it long ago in one of our family get togethers. I happened to see that particular vehicle displayed at the Port Dickson camps museum. Don't know where it is now.
By the way Harman, beautiful shots. Anybody got the Verlinden kit of this vehicle?
Richard.

Richard, the ones that has been shot with the RPG is still displayed at the Port Dickson Museum and the RPG damage is still there. It has been repainted though.
