Request from Razmanosaurex about MIFV serving with United Nation Protection Force in Bosnia. The picture was scanned bcoz no digital camera available at that time.

Brief History. MIFV deployed for the first time in Europe are from Mech Inf Bn. Personnel from 12 and 19 RAMD forming 2 company where Radpanzer Condor operated by personnel from 3rd Armour Regt sqn. Apart from this, there are also MIFV operated by JLJ (Fitter) n Medical (Ambulance) unfortunately I have no pic of Ambulance MIFV or Mortar Carrier. By Mej®

Wow very nice pics. The first photo makes for a nice dio. These would have been useful for last year's MIFV GB.

Thanks for sharing, hashaney :)

Looks like two style of interiors with different seating arrangements for the troops. Are these two different variants of the troop carrier (apart from than the ambulance / mortar types)?

hashaney - August 1, 2008 01:34 AM (GMT)
Poohbear. The one without the centre seat is command vehicle used by commanders and Tactical Air Control Party (TACP) of TUDM for calling Air Support from flying NATO ac above Malbatt AO. Only 3 or 4 pax in rear seat while with the centre box is for 1 infantry section roughly 6 to 8 pax...

Thanks! I thought it was a command vehicle. :)

Right. Just remove the centre seat or box... The actual command vehicle will be different seat arrangement

PoohBear - August 1, 2008 02:03 AM (GMT)
Thanks hashaney.

Would it be right to say the MIFV variants in theater are
1. Command Vehicle
2. TACP vehicle
3. Troop vehicle
4. Ambulance vehicle
5. Mortar vehicle
6. Fitter

hashaney - August 1, 2008 02:33 AM (GMT)
We don't have the actual command vehicle. Command Vehicle have Raise Roof and separate Aircond. Ours is KIFV K-200 with centre seat remove. Meaning:

1. KIFV K-200A1 for commanders and TACP with centre seat removed,
2. KIFV K-200A1 for troop with centre seat.
3. Ambulance.
4. K-288A1 Fitter or some called ARV but the JLJ guys prefer to called them fitter.

Only 3 variant operate in Bosnia...
