Title: Latest Advance In Antitank Weapons
Description: Successor to the Panzerfaust Donkey

beachbum - July 30, 2008 03:17 AM (GMT)
Gentlemen & 1 Lady,

Veteran forumers here are aware of a post some time back in the Figure section on the Panzerfaust Donkey Mk. IV, one of the most effective and environmentally friendly invention in WWII in destroying tanks. Used by the Fallschirmjagers the Mk. IV offered an all-weather, all-terrain capability, moderate firepower in a cost effective package.

However, due to recent animal right activitists, other alternatives had to be sourced and the one below appears to be a relatively and easy to maintain conversion available to most 3rd World countries.

Gentlemen & 1 Lady I give you:
The Vespa Tank Killer.

The picture was taken from WarWheels.net which incidentally is a very good resource with links to walkarounds for quite a number of wheeled AFVs.

On a more serious note, for wheeled AFV fans do check out this link.

Comments are most welcome.

I think Richard will build one. Get the Tamiya's Campus Friend Set  !

I doubt the effectiveness of using Vespas during war. The scooter is heavy on the right, if I'm not mistaken. This is due to the motor, which is located at the back on the right side (again, correct me if I'm wrong).

I guess the bazooka can act as 2 thing. A firepower and counter-balance.

Its either as tank killer or as mobile Lemang seller..... :D You know la... Hari Raya is around the corner. Maybe the money collected can be disposed at any Raya Special Discount at the LHS.....

The main thing that came to my mind when I first bumped into this was, Wow! Talk about a hot seat. The other was probably it must be a nice feeling to have something big and powerful between the legs.

Seriously though, it does exist and was thought up by the Frenchies. Do read the specs below in the link I gave on the Vespa.

As mentioned Warwheels.net has quite a number of wheeled AFVs with some great links and walkaround pics catering to scratchbuilders and modellers.

Of course its better than the Panzerfaust Donkey Mk. IV. That's why I mentioned at the start of my post that the Vespa actually replaces it because of animal activist concerns. :D

Oh, just in case anyone who has missed the in-depth discussion on the Panzerfaust Donkey Mk. IV earlier here's a link:
