Ladies,

It is with great pleasure to announce that starting from 28th until 31st May 2008, Subang airbase will be very busy with flypast and aerobatic practice involving all fast and slow movers from the RMAF.

Most planes will be arriving on the 27th and the sky will be busy from then on! Part of the striptease show on the 1st June will be 24 PC7 will make a flypast resembling no 50, aerobatic display by the Migs, Hawks, Cik Mek Su and hopefully F5's, static display by all planes under RMAF (including the museum ones :lol: ) and much more. So, it's like a mini LIMA minus the Red Willy.

By the way, 1st June is open to Public. As for me, i'll be there from 29th June....lunch with few of the fly boys :P

Tour? Probably, as the safety office is none other than Arrow himself. Need to check the schedule 1st ok! Easy for us to take pictures on that day itself.

Flygirls? Yes, plenty! Mulan, couple of lady aircrews will be around to help any kind hearted boys like you. One thing we must remember is that the Handau and Intel people will be around and there are plenty on them. So behave huh!!

I would like to suggest to Mr El Presidente that all Scale Model members to wear our official Tees for recognition and better in white please (i don't have one by the way!). Easy for me to discuss with Arrow that this is our group for the tour if there's one.

Latest news!!

Just had a chat with Arrow. He suggested that Scale Model Team to have a booth to display all RMAF models and a small workshop to do models at the airshow itself. He said this better as the team will be part of the 50th Anni and we can roam around with our tags at hand since security will be tight!! How that Mr El Presidente? He asked me how many of us and I said roughly 10 pax at this juncture.

Arrow will get in touch with the orgainser to inform them on this development and if we agree, we better put a real show boys! I'll wait for further details from him as they have to put a small corner for us. Please ensure that only RMAF models to be displayed. By the way, Arrow is the security officer for 17th sqdn only at the show and he will be glad to be our tour guide depending on the deal above. I suggest we built something for this guy. What say you mates?

As for a token of appreciation, I would suggest a model of his (Arrow's) jet will be more than appropriate... what do you think? Just throwing out ideas though. :D

Yes, the condition must be ONLY RMAF planes to be exhibited. Now, don't get too excited. We must hear from the El Presedente whether this is okay or not.

If the corum says Yes, then I'll make the arrangement and I need the exact number of people who wants to be there to display their models and do few models as an activity.

Please ensure that we record how many RMAF models to be brought in and how many we are going to build there. This is to ensure that kits don't go missing and what's not and easy for Handau and Intel to assist us if things goes wrong.

Better be quick mates!! I can tell you that even the Generals will be pleased, let alone the real fly boys!!

Hehehe... Kuman, I think you have to have your MKM "flown back" down here because as far as I know, yours is the only MKM that is completed and ready for "action"... :D

right now im building the Fujimi 1/72 D Hornet.Im more than willing to give this for unlimited access during that day.

Now on major painting stage. But im just using the anchor spray can for this project. Afraid that the quality was not on par compared to airbrushed kit.

This is a jolly good q. As of now, I have not heard any comments from the Society President and AJK's and I cannot decide for this forum and corum. This August forum needs to decide whether do we want to participate or not and I'm alone not right to make any decision on behalf of anybody who is a registered member and friends.

I have to advise Arrow on this matter by this week and if there is no decision being made, I will inform him that we are off.

For your information, the booth will only be for 1st June but if we are to participate, we have to be there on the 30th May to make arrangements. The King will be coming on the 31st May for the a visit.

Just a small voice from me…

I think we don’t need so big display for this event but we going to have a very big exposer from that event definitely. RMAF 50’s anniversary is a dam good base for a society to bring up the hobby to the public. That is our main objective to have a scale model society right? I donno. At least we are doing something related at the right place….I think so….
