Enjoying very much! :D
This is probably bordering on nitpicky but I think the broom holder (black / white support thingy at top of the helm) is a somewhat clean / pristine compared to every other part of the armor / shield.
Well done, CP. :)

Waaaaah CP! Cantik lah! Not being 'stingy' with the weathering and the bits of chips and splatter here and there does it for the figure. The painting for the checkered thingy could be more precise though. The b/w rectangles or squares ( for that matter ) would look better if they had right angles. No excuse for large scale so you're not being let off the hook here. Everything else is top notch.
Cheers
Patrick

CP,
Since my image of Spartans have now been totally adulterated by Frank Miller and his wife, any representation of a spartan must have as little clothing as possible and they must all be handsome greek god looking hunks.
I do not see any naked abs here!
On a more serious note. I doubt that the armor is that run down as military discipline may require some polishing. That said, my spartan knowledge is as good as my spartan!
What I do like if the completeness of the composition. It looks right, it feels right,....
Love the foot shot.

Bear-bear,
Good shot! I totally forgot to weathering that "thing". By the way, from what I've found out on the net, this "thing" actually is detachable from the bronze helmet. They're made of wood act as the horse hair base.
Patrick,
I've only myself to blame.... I was too anxious to finish this project cause it was on my work bench for too long (side track on other project and my busy work schedule)... Anyway, no accuses.
Loo,
Sorry to let U down without the half naked figure. Maybe one day I'll come up some half naked figure juct for U hehehe.
Serious note... Base on historical reference, the bronze armor were polished with fine sand, which easily and quickly loss it's shine after expose under the weather... My spartan warrior goes through days of bitter fighting, no time to tidy up and look nice lar...

Sorry CP. Been on and off for a while due to too much travelling.
Its good to hear you manage to clear this off the workbench. I'm sure you must be very happy that this is finally done. :) The change in the head and the modifications was definitely a good idea as it adds much to the overall tension. Nice dents on the shield too.
The horsehair crest looks fine to me. Given its position on the helmet the chances of it getting dirty is minimal. I like the weathered metal feel but as a tiny, teeny nitpick the base bronze color came out a wee bit too smooth. A coat of Mr. Surfacer 500 as a base before painting may have gave it a more gritty, metallic finish at this larger scale. No big deal though.
Thanks for sharing the finished figure.

Not so much about the crest itself, but I would have thought that the wooden base support (good research there, CP) would see some paint flaking / dirt / dust / chipping from battles and light handling . Not that I know anything about period armour.

Hi CP
This must be your best work to date. The Shield is very well weathered, and the Bonze treatment on the breast plate looks good. The eye also very nicely painted. Good to see you are more daring in colors and contrast which made this piece clearly stand out
Keep it up
Allan
