For those whose familiar with Gundam, AOZ series is a very interesting series. The story follow the Titan Test Team, Black Otter Team which their mission is on testing new mecha with super duper awesome weapon/feature. Which mean you can modified and exchange weapon or add more shield/armor. Therefore, i will mod my kits for easy essemble and disessemble for future changes.

More info of Advance of Zeta, please refer HERE

The kits i'm building is known as the Signature of Titan Test Team, Hazel Gundam, and will add on some extra feature of Hrududu, visit here for more info http://www.mechascientific.com/aoz/ttt_ms/...g-parts-hrududu

It'll be my compy entry in coming May. Wish me luck :P

good WIP there on the Hazel. Please keep us updated on your progress, yah?

On a side note, is that a French FAMAS assault rifle you are holding in your avatar pix? Very cool item - i like bullpup rifles that can be configured for left hand use.

cheers

Can't make it for mid year compy, so this will go to BAKUC.

Ice-cream time, this time its goin to be lemon flavor ice-cream. :P

Ingredient are, plaster of paris, and lemon fragrance sand. (Actually the sand is bathing sand for my hamster, it come with lemon fragrance :P)

becky is playing ice cream now, looking forward for your watermelon ice cream.

beachbum - October 10, 2008 01:30 AM (GMT)
Lemon flavored ice-cream...Yummy. :D

Sorry Becky I was away yesterday. The plaster mix is slightly watery but since it didn't crack after drying it should be ok. Just be careful when you move your base around. I hope its stuck to a strong, stiff base like wood or plywood which doesn't bend otherwise the plaster will crack or chip.

Also be careful where you drill the hole when attaching the stand. Ideally is to make the hole while the plaster is still semi-wet. Its still ok making a hole after its dried except you will now need to drill it and sometimes the plaster can be quite hard or it may crack due to the drilling.

Ok, color......What color do you like? :) Usually its easier to mix in the color to the plaster when adding the water. I usually use watercolor as its cheaper. No problem you can still paint it. The plaster should be able to absorb water based paints like watercolor. I prefer red but I suppose grey or even dark blue will do. It depends on how well the groundwork color contrast with your Mecha color. For example, if you Mecha is mainly white then I would go with a darker groundwork color (i..e dark red, brown). If the Mecha is mostly a dark color then a light colored groundwork (i.e. light yellow) will be good.

After painting the groundwork you will need to add washes and highlights. If you are using water color for the groundwork then I will suggest using oils or enamels for the wash and highlights.

Do keep us posted on the progress.

Thank beach for the tips. I din color my plaster coz i still wondering which color to use (Dark blue / Dark red)??

Some updates:

The black will place on the base, white on the moon surface. Which mean lighter color on the base, darker color on the moon surface.

As for the stand, think will drill a hole a the side of the base. where the plaster is the thiness. Need add in n touch up somemore.

Ok. Back to Hazel.
Details added on the booster unit.

Minor updates, very slow progress lately, darn. ;)

The leg of Hazel kinda short n small. So i decided to lenghten it bout 8mm.
Use plaplate to shape up the extended leg, then filled with epoxy putty.

Apply some baby oil on the plaplate, so u can take out with ease when the putty cured.

Comparison....
