Guys...
i have this Kitech Caribou .. plan to make it to the "late" TUDM Caribou and maybe have this for the MGB08...
Questions
1. so does anyone got any reference picture of this plane?
2. where to find decal for it? i believe they use the square TUDM decal right? anyone got spare? :D
3. what color to use?
and i also have this Kitech Snowbird Tutor and it does come with the TUDM decal.. so now i need reference picture of the plane...
can anyone help me out on these? again.. will see if this can be done for the MGB08 as well..
thanks guys.

Kuman,
Alamak, instead of Buffalo, you chose to work on Caribou lah.. good choice too..
I got some photo, I will send it to you..
For decal. HHQ have the scalenutz's TUDM square, you need to get that, and I have the white TUDM serial in my spare, I will pass it to you...

Hie Kuman..
Glad that you're going to attempt on that nifty beast, I have build two and it wasn't easy somehow.
1. Getting the top side of the 2 fuselage halves to be even.
2. Window....they are attached from the inside (Had to break the fuselage once as the windows 'Fell-in")
To answer your questions:
1. Go to ARC -Walkarounds - "Caribou" C-7A
Here's some of the actual bird when was operational those days:

This was what I had build a couple of years ago:

2. You can try asking Mr.Low at HHQ, I had grab two and now hopefully they are still available.
3. Gunze Olive Drab H302 if I recalled.
For the Tutor, I got an old photo shot...will look for it and scan it later.

Thomas.. :D
what to do instead of "kerbau" i'll opt to make the "Rusa" hahaha...
thanks for the offer for the number.. i'll start building them in a bit since now a bit tie-up with my Hornet and Seahawk... :)
i'll drop HHQ an email afterwards to ask for the square logo.. hopefully some still available..
and i'll check my email in a bit.. :D
@Brutus...
yea.. i totally forgot about ARC walkaround.. thansk for reminding me..
as for the window... something need to be done to make sure they didnt fall after application
and what about the noseweight? need a lot of them? since i thing the tail would require a lot of weight to counter them from sitting on the tail.
thanks for the tutor picture as well...
anyone got more pictures?
thanks guys

Here's one from the Air Force Museum in Sg Besi.

I think that's the actual bird that scale nutz took for their references M24-04, just a note if your using their decals avoid the "Handle, open here/Tuas, Buka di sini" as it's way over size.

A full reasonable amount something like up to 10 grams or more I would say, as the 1st one I did was less than that so it kinda "Rotate" if a fly sat on it but would still stay on all 3 wheels though. The 2nd one was hefty and stood very well, no worries about the nose gear collapsing though.

thanks for the info Brutus.. :)
i try to find the square decal mentioned at the ScaleNutz site.. and i saw 3 different size of this square decal... so which is more suitable?
Small/Medium/Large? i guess the medium should be ok right?

kuman,
If you are doing the late version, then I suggest Small size..

any visible difference between the late and early version? that wont require a lot of modification?
if not much difference i'll settle for the small version then.. :)

I got some pics.......send me yr e-mail and I will get them to you
Few things to watch for
Caribou
There is no instrument shroud the bou had a very distintive one.....check reference
The model is a tail sitter.........watch for weight............
The windscreen is a bit wrong and sometimes does not line up well .....
Tutor
Same no istrument shroud........
If gear down the nose gear needs to be trimmed .........it sits to high...otherwise.....
U need the dome under the belly and the fuel dump pipe.........
Lot of inaccurate stuff there...........but can pass off as a tebuan lah......:)
Decals from the kittech offering .........I would advise against using them........
